I've heard so many good things about the cinnamon rolls from Main Street Bakery. I want to try one for breakfast this trip but don't know if I'll have a chance while we're at Magic Kingdom. I see them listed on some of the resort counter service menus...are they the same? Or, would it be better to pick one up on way out and eat it the next morning?
Thanks!!!

They're always there, you can even insist they put ice cream on it. Other ones aren't the same, but sometimes close. Different bakeries.

I think the best ones are in Norway in Epcot.

we usually pick them up on the way out of the park (pack some large ziplock baggies to put the bakery boxes in -- the boxes are not airtight, but if you pop the box into the bags they will keep the rolls fresh.)

The other thing to remember if you're staying until park closing--while Main Street Bakery does stay open late--usually still open after the park closes -- they actually sell out of most items by the end of the night. We've been in there right when they're announcing park closing and bought the last cinnnamon rolls. So if you can possibly get in there before the park closes you'll have a better shot at getting cinnamon rolls.

We have bought the fresh cinnamon rolls at Pop Century and at Port Orleans French Quarter...while they tasted the same (delicious) have to say the resort version was a lot smaller than the Main Street Bakery version. All were the same price. So the Magic Kingdom version adds a little extra "pixie Dust" when they size 'em, lol. Also, the Main Street Bakery continues to have them all day/all evening long...but the resort bakery shelf only had them in the morning during breakfast hours.

I have never taken them out the park because I cant help it they are DELICIOUS! You have to get them from the MSB!

Thank you so much for the responses! The ziploc bag is a great idea - I think I'll be using that tip. Mmmmm....can't wait!

Speaking of cinnamon rolls, I seem to remember hearing about a spot in AK that also has some great ones. Does anyone know where this might be?

Thanks,

My DH says the best ones are at the Boardwalk Bakery!

We have had them at the Contemporary and Yacht Club but not the same

He says the DHS ones in Starring rolls are pretty good too!

I dont know how good they are but I think it is called Kusaifri

I thought I read that the cinnamon rolls on Main Street can be used as a snack credit on the dining plan. Did I imagine this or is it true?:confused3

I can't wait to try one !!

I know they were a snack credit in 2008 and 2009 unless that has changed since then

The ones at the resorts are more like a cinnamon flavoured danish. The ones in the bakeries are real cinnamon rolls.

The Main Street Bakery's Cinnamon Buns are by far the best I have ever had... we make sure we get them every trip! So big, warm, and gooey :)

Glad to know the cinnamon rolls are available at night as well! The latest I had gotten one was early afternoon. How about the egg/ham/cheese croissant? Does anyone know around what time they would stop serving them?

Had on our trip in July...asked for extra icing- as suggested...

Here it is...ymmmm!

wdwgirl1 that pic is HEAVEN! I'd love to be eating a cinnamon roll right now...

I think cinnamon rolls are best from Boardwalk Bakery, Banana Bread pudding is best from MSB

As a expert on this topic (I'm kinda shaped like a cinnamon bun myself), the Main Street Bakery is the way to go - they are great to take back to your room if you have a fridge and microwave for 1 min for your next day breakfast. The BW Bakery used to have some very tasty cinnamon buns, yummies, donuts etc several years ago but after being outsourced they now sell the same generic cinnamon bun that you can find at all Disney food courts, breakfast carts etc...such a shame and no comparison to the Main Street bakery.
