Cindy's Royal Table Open for Lunch? How is it?

I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't know Cindy's Royal Table at the castle is open for lunch and dinner (without Cindy, I know) -- After the HOURS and HOURS I have spent reading these boards I can't believe I didn't know that!

Anyway, I thought it'd be a treat to take my niece there for lunch...but is it still open for lunch and if so, how is it, food and atomosphere wise?

Also would I need a PS for lunch?

yes you do need a ps for the castle. it is open for all 3 meals. when are you going cause the castle books up fast. If you go june 10 and afterwards it is a character lunch. If you are not able to get ps you can try and get a walkin cause people do cancel. I suggest calling for ps until you leave. If you don't want a character meal try for the dinner. I personally love the prime rib

We ate lunch there last visit. I was REALLY lucky and someone had cancelled (had no idea at that time how lucky I was, just called and got in about 30 days out). Our two girls LOVED it and the food was good. It was a nice break from the park in the middle of the day and since our children were 5,4 and 1 at the time we were spending all our time around the castle anyway! I would highly recommend it. We happened to catch Cinderella there, lucky again, last visit although I understand after June someone will be there for lunch all the time. Have a great time!

I didn't realize until earlier today that they were adding character lunch there. This is one of our favorite lunches. We are arriving at WDW on June 8 and I tried to get a PS for any of our dates and it was not available. I am so bummed. Really wanted to eat lunch there.

Make sure you do realize that it is only the character meal during breakfast and lunch. The dinner times do not have the characters, it is just dinner.
