Cindy's journal

I used all of my points today but didn't go over. I did the 3 mile watp this morning and then again in the afternoon.

It looks like you've done well this week! I hope you have good news to report from your weigh-in tomorrow!! All those WATP sessions MUST be doing something for you.

I think you'll find the tape measure will be an even better inspiration than the scale. Sometimes I lose inches even when the scale isn't moving and that keeps me motivated!

I hope you have a great day today and a good weigh-in tomorrow!

Thank you Doreen! I took yesterday off from exercise because it was so busy here. We are closing on our house today so I was at the bank yesterday, Home Depot and the final walk thru (which we realized we have a lot more work to do than we thought:rolleyes:) so we were pretty bummed about that.

I was up at 4:30 this morning so I did the 4 mile WATP and weighed in. I had a 2.2 loss this week which helped me reach my first goal of losing my first 10%. My total loss is 22.4 lbs :D. My new goal is to lose the next 10% which means I'll have to lose approx. 19 pounds to reach that goal but I'm up for it and I know I can do it. I bought 2 new dvd's that were recommended by other WISHers. One has a few 10 minute segments of pilates and the other has a few 10 minute segments of yoga workouts. I'll try those next week. It will be good to add something different to my exercise. Thanks for your support everyone, you have helped me so much! :D

HAPPY HALLOWEEN :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hey, Cindy, good luck at closing today. Hope all goes smoothly.
I'm sure all the exercise you did this week went a long way toward burning off some of the stress.

Have a great weekend and keep going onward and downward!
Erin

Thanks Erin! It went well except that the sellers forgot the deed so we had to wait and the house was in bad shape when it came to cleaning. They had 2 cats and a dog and there was animal fur everywhere, radiators, doorways, etc. so I spent the first two days doing serious cleaning to get rid of all of the hairs before the painting and just to be cleaned. I don't think the woman knew what a vacuum is.

Anyway, the last time I did any regular exercise was Friday morning. Since then I haven't done any WATP but I have been doing a lot of painting, cleaning, walking up and down stairs and ladders and walking aimlessly around the aisles of Home Depot a few times ;) so I hope that counts for something. Also, since the kitchen has stuff everywhere and there's no fridge, we've had a lot of take out so I know this week's weigh in is going to be bad. But I hope to get back to exercise today. I had my regular breakfast today so I hope to get back on track.

Well I did the 3 mile and 2 mile WATP's today. However, I didn't make the greatest choices for food/points today and it's not even dinner time . But this week is just about over and I've started to get back on track with exercise and points will resume tomorrow. I hope the weekend isn't as crazy as last weekend. Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not expecting much, if any, loss due to lack of exercise and amount of take out.

Well, I haven't exercised or really followed points since last Thursday:rolleyes:   . We've been busy moving things over to the new house and working around the house. My daughter has been really sick for the past 2 days with a stomach virus so I've been washing sheets and towels since last night and haven't been able to get to WATP. I'm hoping all of the moving boxes and serious cleaning will help me a little but I know weigh in this week is going to be rough. I hope to WATP tomorrow and be back fully on schedule at the end of the weekend. I know I should have made the time for exercise and made better food choices but at leas I know I didn't get lazy and stay on my butt this past week.

Hey, Cindy. . .some weeks are like this. You're so busy with so much. . .don't worry about it right now. Just keep points and exercise in the back of your mind and get right back to it when you can.

 for you,
Erin

Thanks for the encouraging words Erin!

We moved a couple of weeks ago and just got the internet last night! It took so long due to Verizon and Comcast but I won't get into that now. The move really threw my exercise and eating plans off kilter.

Well, I hadn't exercised or followed points since approx. 11/6:eek:   .but I did weigh myself every Friday.

I didn't gain any weight from my last weigh in from when I did points and exercise. In fact I lost 2.4 pounds since 11/6. I think all of the moving, lifting, going up and down stairs and mostly nerves have kept me from gaining weight. I started back on the official exercise Monday 12/1 and points (I haven't been too strict with points but I will starting today, hopefully).

My total loss is 25 lbs and I've started on my next goal of losing my 2nd 10%. I have approx 17 pounds to lose to reach that goal (I think, I'll have to check my journal).

I did the 2 mile WATP and attempted to get back on points. I did well with points for breakfast then kind of blew it. I actually just about stayed within my range, but ate junk kind of food rather than good choices.

I did the 3 mile WATP and points were good until dinner. I've found myself slipping back into the snacking mode. I just have to stop buying snack type foods b/c I obviously can't help myself from picking on them. But at least I exercised so hopefully that will help offset some of the chips!

I did the 3 mile WATP today but went over on points. I don't know why but I haven't been able to stay on track with points. I just have to make sure I eat before I go out so I'm not tempted to eat fast food and I'll have to stop buying snacks again b/c obviously I can't resist them when they are in the house!

Just stopped by to say "hi," Cindy. . .it sounds like you're really doing great--to lose over 2 pounds while not being too strict with yourself is wonderful! I think that the real key to successful weight loss is walking the walk for the long haul. . .we have to remind ourselves that "life happens." Moving, the holidays, and changes in our routine all play a factor in our abilities to eat properly and exercise regularly. The fact that you weighed yourself and kept an eye on things--even when you couldn't really get into the whole point and exercise thing--inspires me to keep on keeping on no matter what! Thanks!

Have a good day:wave2:
Erin

Thank you Erin for your encouraging words. :D No exercise today b/c we ended up at the doctor's with my 3 year old. She has a sinus infection but still runs around like normal (I wish I had her energy).

I've really been blowing it with staying in points range and eating the right foods. That has to change b/c I just found out my blood pressure is slightly high and my cholesterol is high so I have to just make myself make better food/eating decisions and make sure to keep on the exercise. Winter seems so much more difficult to stay on a plan. I plan to get back to WATP tomorrow and points.

I lost 1.2 lbs this past week bringing my total loss to 26.6. I still have a while to go but I'm getting there!

I haven't been exercising or really sticking to points. I lost .40 lbs which isn't much at all but it beats a gain. My total loss as of today is 27 lbs.

I didn't weigh in today. I should have but I didn't. I've been off schedule big time between moving, Christmas, vacations and helping family members move. I guess I've received exercise from carrying boxes and going up and down stairs so at least I can say I haven't been sitting around. My husband goes back to work on Monday and things should be back to normal (we've been eating out a lot during his vacation). I will start WATP again on Monday 1/5 and points. I've begun stocking the fridge and cabinets with healthier or lower point snacks so I won't be tempted to eat the bad stuff. I'll weigh in next Friday on 1/2 and I know it's not going to be good but that will be a little more motivation that I need to stay on track.

I weighed in today for the first time since 12/19 (week before Christmas) and I gained one pound :( but it's my own fault and I know it could have been more. I should be thankful it was only 1 pound that I gained. I will start up again on Monday with exercise and try to make better food decisions starting now.

Only gaining one pound over the Holiday I'd say is pretty good. You are doing great and you noticed that you have been off track and that is so important. I know you can do this and you sound determined to be geting back on track. It will probably be a little tough going back to the exercise but remember that you can do it.
