Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

We had a PS at Cindy's for 8:15 (park opened at 9:00). We were told by the reservations CM to bring our PS confirmation number & we would be admitted early. Posters on The Dis advised that we should look for a line on the Very far left, which we did. The line was off to the side - away from the 'regular' lines of people waiting to get into the park when it opened. We were able to practically walk right up to the CM's, who never asked for our confirm.#, but just ushered us into the park; though they did appear to be holding a list. Others have reported similar experiences - unless they have changed in the recent past. We were able to have a leisurely walk down Main Street with hardly a soul around - got some Great pics! Plus we arrived with time to spare for photos with the Fairy Godmother in the downstairs lobby PLUS a bathroom break for the kids. Hope this helps.

Please help!! I'm starting to call tomorrow morning and the "tips" link in the first post isn't working. Where can I find the tips??

Here you go!

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all!

I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. We have CRT reservations for sunday, nov 28th at 8:10 a.m. We are staying at the CBR and have a rental car. What time should we be at the MK gate? I know this is and EE day for the MK and as this is the first time we are going to CRT, I'm not sure how to budget my time to get there without feeling like we are going to be late. Thanks.
Andrea

Will you be driving or riding the bus? I think most of the buses start running at 7:00. It took us about 15 to 20 min from POR this past May. I would be at the gate at 7:30.

Jim.

Jim - we will be driving, I figured we should get there around 7:30, so I guess I was about right. Thanks for the info.

I am posting that I am 99% sure I will have a PS for CRT on Dec 12th at 9:35 am for 4 people I will be canceling. So if interested PM me and we could try to coordinate times to call. Still looking for Dec 6th though:(

Wow, thanks for taking the time to post the "how-to's" I remember finding it overwhelming trying to look through all the posts to find an answer...many will appreciate it...

My question...my daughters are 5 & 6...do the majority of girls "dress up" in princess clothing for this breakfast? We generally don't do that because of the hassle of changing and carrying those dresses around for all the rides. But if the majority of girls wear those, my girls might feel like they had wished they had worn theirs....just curious to hear opinions on both sides of this question!

Thanks!
Tara

So,

Thanks to the advice on this board - I planned to get a ressie at Cindy's Castle for my girls and my brother and his girls!

Focused - two phones - programmed numbers - checked atomic clock - focused - practised called - heard the too early message - focussed.... focussed...focussed... hit redial... atomic clock says 6:59... too early message... focussed... redial... their open...

My call in quay... about to hang up... wife says on her phone- "yes, we would like a table for 4 and a table for 6 at Cinderellas' castle!!! woohooo! 8:30 seating...

Going Feb 22, not telling anyone including brothers' family until Christmas, it will be a special present for everyone.

I am surprised how excited I am about this... thanks to everyone for the ongoing advice, especially the recent change to the push 1, push 1 feature.

They actually asked which way we got in, what phone number etc. I assume just to see how people are getting through.

I was unable to call to get a resie for CRT at the 90 day mark (long story). I just found this forum. If you have a 3 person resie for anywhere between 12/29 and 1/1 and you have to cancel:
a) You have my deepest sympathies
b) Can you PM me?
c) you will have my eternal gratitude, and that of my 8 y/o son and DH, too.

Thanks!

:D

Thanks for Greg from MN posting this tip sheet - very helpful for planning my DD's first Princess visit!!

Cheers,

Following Greg's post did the trick. Wife and I woke up at 5:45 a.m. this morning, did the multiple phone trick and got right in. We told our girls this evening about Breakfast in Cinderella's Castle and it looks like they are almost as excited as my wife!

Thanks,

Alphatexana

Here comes a ray of light.....get ready.......this is nuts!

Our original plan was to go to WDW in October. I was DETERMINED to get a Cindy breakfast for my munchkin, who has a MAJOR Cinderella complex (for the last few months when you ask her her name she says Mackenzie Cinderella). I coordinated a huge family effort and had 6 different relatives calling to try to book it. Luckily, on the last morning of our trips window, my hubby got lucky and scored the seats. THEN (bah bah bahhhhhhh) Hurricane IvvAAAaan (sorry, get a nervous tick when I thing about it) caused us to reschedule our trip for Feb. 26 - March 5. As a result, I had to cancel our Cindy Breakfast res. My heart literally broke, and even the operator said "are you sure you want to do this? I hate to see CRB res get canclled!" Me too lady....

Anyway, now this week has been our first shot at getting seats for our rescheduled trip. I was sooo scared that we wouldn't get the seats, but I talked the same 6 family memebers into getting up before the sun to try for these seats. Crazy, but we got them the first day that we tried!!! I was shocked! Now, after reading about the new ticket system and extended park hours for resort guests I panicked. The day we had our breakfast planned was an Early Entrty day for MK. So, just on a whim, five minutes ago (that's right at 4:10 PM Central time) I called Dining and gave it a shot....can you believe that they had A TON of Breakfast seats still available for March 3 (my ten year anniversay coincidentally).

So I cancelled the original res and changed it to today. You guys - I am in complete and total shock....and of course ecstatic! Not only did I score the res, but for the day I wanted!

I'm passing this along for all the people out there like me, who never seem to get lucky...Don't give up!!!! There's always a chance a whole group of people will cancel!!!

Keep your chins up and keep callin!
Mel

Cancelling PSB 12/14

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A BIG PUBLIC THANKS TO princessmurdough, who came through for us! We got CRT resies for 12/29. You are now our honorary fairy godmother! :)

Just got back yesterday and had to post regarding the CRT breakfast. It was definately worth all of the trouble. We had a ps for 8:10, on sunday, an EE day. We were at the park gates early to see them open the park. The breakfast was great. The princesses spent time with my daughters and we were not rushed at all, in fact, they kept asking if we wanted more food. Even my mother and father really enjoyed it. It was the perfect way to start our vacation.

We go frequently to WDW - perhaps 2-3 times a year - and we ALWAYS getting PS for Cinderella's Royal Table. I have NEVER been turned down.

Here's how...

Call the day before you want to and record on paper all of the buttons you must push. IE: Push 2 if your part is less than 8 people, push 1 if you have visited 2 or more times, push 1 if you have visited in the last year, and on and on. Then when it counts - use at least two phones on redial, start calling at 6:55 AM and redial until you get an active line. You know what numbers to push already from your homework so you do not have to waste your time listening to the operater. Just start pushing the buttons as soon as the voice comes on for each request. You will get through. This has not failed me yet!! I too reserve for everyday we stay, then I decide later, after park hours are available and my other plans get solidified, which ones to let go.

It works - really.

Ands thanks to WDWinfo for their dining calculator - this makes life easy too.
