Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Hi, I haven't visited this thread much since last year when I had to book, but appreciated the update about the 1-1.
However, no luck for me today. Was on hold for about 10 minutes before they answered. I have 6 more days though. If anyone is canceling for the 15th of Nov.......
Thanks,
Danielle

Ok...so what is the best way to try for seats closer to the date. We had everything all planned and had to move our dates up by two weeks so I had to give up my Cindy's ressies. Now of course there is nothing available. Anyone tried at the 48 hour window and when you are actually in Disney. Any luck with this? Just wondering. I haven't told my DD since she would be so disappointed. Hopefully something will come available.

I know that a deposit is charged to your credit card when you schedule Cindy's. I was wondering how this works if you plan to use Silver Plan Wishes for the breakfast.

Will they credit the original deposit back to your credit card?

Thanks for your help!

I havent had to do this JRoglitz but Ive read on the DIS of other people managing to get them after people have cancelled.

Good Luck :wave2:

I just called to see if there were any cancellations for next week. Unfortunately we are leaving on Sept 1, because he said he had a cancellation for a party of 6 at 9:00 on the 1st and also a cancellation for Sept 2 - didn't find out the time or how big a party.

We'll be in WDW 12/4-12/10... not sure which day we'll try for PS's, but wondering what the best time for PS's are? I'd like to get in early, so that we dont' miss the park opening and precious time for rides. Opinions please?!

Because the PS go so very fast I've never asked for a time. I just give my info and she then tells me whether she has a PS or not. I'd be too afraid to waste precious time on the phone asking for a specific time. I think I might have said once, though, 'earliest available', but I feel guilty even doing that.

If I were able to choose my time, I'd choose one of 2 ways. One way would be with a very late seating. That way, you can do Fantasyland and maybe another thing or two before your PS, then leave the park as it gets crowded. The other way would be to get the very first seating and be among the first into the empty park. I have done this both ways and it worked great.

Of course, as the other poster mentioned, you don't really have the luxury of choosing your time. However, when I called and got our PS for Oct. 15, we made the PS at one time and then I asked if she had anything later. She did, so we quickly grabbed it. I couldn't believe I could actually do that, but it worked. We ended up with 10:20. We'll have to eat a quick bite in our room to be able to wait that long, but then it's almost like brunch. :D

Due to cheaper flights we just made our trip plans yesterday. No luck for PSB or Cindy for any of our dates 10-28 thru 11/1. Should I call everyday to see if available or just wait until closer to the date? If anyone is planning to cancel please PM me. I would be very grateful.

I went on a short notice trip and called everyday and sometimes more than once a day. It took about two weeks but was able to get a cancelation for the day and time I wanted!

Keep calling!!!

Thanks you all!! When I call, I'll just ask for a PS. After making it, I'll then ask if there's anything earlier available. One more question. If you make a PS for a Monday, but you really want Tuesday, can you call back to get Tuesday, then cancel Monday? Does that make sense?

Yes - you sure can!

Your daughters are beautiful!

Also, someone else asked if they should try calling everyday to see if there is a CRT cancellation. My answer is YES!! You can use the 800 number 1 800 828 0228 and I would call every day, at least once a day if not more. But I'm obsessive and used to getting what I want, even if I have to work hard for it!

 We are going to Disney in April 2005. Let's say that our first day in Disney will be the 17th. If I want to make PS for Cinderella's breakfast, I should call 90 days before the 17th? If we will be in FL for 10 days, does that mean that I only have 10 chances to get PS for Cinderella's? Why can't I call for 90 days? In reading most of the posts it sounds like they give up after the first few days. What information am I missing here?

Also on a related note, in reading some of the posts it would appear that the Princess Breakfast in Epcot has better food. Is that true? Also, my daughter's favorite princess is Belle. Where do I have a guaranteed chance for her to meet Belle?

Thanks::MinnieMo

You can try from 90 days from the date(s) you want to try for. And because they book up so fast, you basically only have those 10 chances each morning to try (start calling right before 7:00a). It books up in a couple of minutes, if not seconds. BUT you, of course, can continue to call right up until the day you leave for Disney to try and get a cancellation.

I actually prefer CRT food rather than PSB.

I have seen Belle at both breakfasts and I've done both 3 times. You can also see her in France at Epcot.

Have fun planning!

I tell you, I'm so nervous about this! LOL I'm so worried that I won't be able to get a Ps! *I* would prefer to do the one in Epcot, but both my girls have said they want to go to Cinderella's castle, so since it's really for them, I'll try for that! LOL But oh, the pressure!

Holly,

Sending lots of pixie dust your way for ressies success. I know, I was just as stressed when we tried to get ours! Our 1st 2 trips happened before I heard of the Dis & so knew nothing of the 'strategy'. But for our third trip, we followed the tips & got ressies on our 1st call. After 2 trips without ressies, I was REALLY worried. Crazy huh? Hope you are successful!

I think you will really enjoy it. I've heard negative comments but our experience was superb. I'm not even a princess fan (I prefer Pooh) but my 2 nieces are, plus we really wanted the experience. All 9 of us loved it - even my DS & Dnephew, both 9 at the time. For our trip next year, Cindy's is as the top of everyone's 'must do' list. (Looks like I'll be stressin again LOL)Again, lots of pixie dust...Keep us posted!

By the way, your 2 little princesses are absolutely stunning!

HollyJoy, you will do fine. Also keep a backup plan. My DDs love the Castle and the Princesses. If we do not get CRT, I will try for PSB and make either a lunch or dinner PS for the castle.
Sending Pixie dust your way!!

Peter and I had breakfast there once - it was fabulous! I used the house phone and he used the cell phone and we were able to get through! We were ecstatic - we had several times before. I thought that the breakfast was wonderful. I loved the blintzes and actually had seconds. The Princesses were wonderful too, even though we were two adults, they still spent time with us and took pictures with us. It was great.

What if your kids don't eat what they offer? I know I read somewhere about the menu at the breakfast. My two youngest ones are strictly cereal and toast for breakfast. One of them will eat pancakes. My oldest son is very picky and will eat cereal, toast, bagels, etc. No eggs will pass his lips. Do they offer a choice of what you want to eat, or do you have to take the food that is offered?

HI Holly-
It does sound intimidating to get ressies for CRT- I tried for 3 days straight on my way to day camp/work & was alway too late. Saturday morining same thing. Sunday morning got through-no problem. So if you have problems-defintiely try right before 7 on Sunday morning- good luck!
