I have been following this thread looking for opening from 10/17 - 10/23 and see alot of people speak in acronyms. Is there a list of what they mean somwhere ? I see "DD" alot and few others.

Dozens- go to the main forum/chat page- just click on the forum/chat button at the top of your screen. On that page is a link that is called abbreviations. I think you will find what you need here. DD stands for Disney Daughter, or dear daughter. Welcome to the boards and good luck getting your reservation!

I called at 30 seconds until 7 (weather channel time)
got put on hold for about 20 sec ( some of the longest seconds of my life) then a disney angel came on and we got 4 for 915 on nov 26 at Cindy's. This was my first try. I now believe in pixie dust I guess I was a carrier all along. Thanks for everyone's advice.

I just sent an email to our DU agent to cancel our Cindy's PS - 4 people on 9/11 at 10:20am. This may take time to get to WDW system, but I thought it might help someone.

I am so excited and I feel like I just won the lottery. I called this morning and was put on hold for about 10 minutes. I can't believe it. When the CM answered I blurted out "Hi, CInderella, party of 5, earliest available please. and she was wonderful. I am so excited I called everyone in my family to tell them the great news. I would like to thank everyone on disboards for their advice and encouragement. Thanks Again

SOOO excited!!!! Got our party of 11 in for Thanksgiving morning at 8:05!!! THis means we'll get in the park early and see the Christmas decorations while it is calm- we got to do this 2 years ago too! Perfect Christmas card picture on Main Street in front of castle, Christmas dec., with noone in the background! We are soooo excited! My princess 4 and nieces 7 and 10 will be thrilled- as will my prince 2!
Just had to share in our happy dancing!



PS- I'll be cancelling reservations for CRT for Mon., Nov. 24 at 9:05 party of 12 and princess storybook breakfast for Wed., Nov. 26 party of 15 soon. Probably Sunday or Monday, I'll post here before I do it!

Ate at cindys for the first time. Highly disapointed! For as hard as I worked to get resi's, it was the worst meal I have ever had at WDW. The food was disgusting, the characters rushed by your table, the wait staff worked their darndest to rush you out, and to boot the air conditioned dripped from the ceiling into your food, but we were told this was part of the "atmosphere". I have had nothing but wonderful experiences in other WDW dining establishments, so I was really disapointed to have such a horrible experience in what I always thought was the "MACDADDY" of them all.

Oh NO! I'm so sorry you had a bad time at Cindy's after all your effort to get in. I think I'm starting to feel better that I can't get any ressi's!

disneydude-I felt the same way!
I hear people say how wonderful the food was and I just cant believe it. Our bacon was hardly even cooked and the french toast sticks the kids got were hard as rocks.
The only the I ate was the blueberry crepe thing (not even sure what it was).
The characters were very rushed and our waiter paid no attention to us at all. For some reason they only brought our 2 year old french toast sticks and not eggs (our 2 other kids got both).
When I asked for some eggs for him he seemed annoyed and took a long time to bring them.
We were so tired ruhsing to get to our PS on time-driving to MK, taking the tram then the monorail, then getting through the security/ticket line then hiking it to the castle. We were all sweating by the time we got there. The food came immediately and the princess all came right after that. It was hard to just take it easy and relax there.
It is fun to be in the castle-maybe everyone should try it once but I I wont bother with it anymore.

This is s stupid question I know but not having done a chef Mickey breakfat before I was wondering if we can drive to the contemporary hotel have breaksfast then get the monorail to MK, or do we have to park at MK then get monorail to contemporary.

Hi, Nicky.

When you arrive at the gate at the Contemporary, they will give you a three hour parking permit. You will need to move your car the MK, or return to your resort if you are staying on property to use the bus to return.

We had a 7:30 am PS at Chef Mickey's and were able to eat, visit with all the characters, return to AKL and get the bus back to MK in time to see the opening cermonies at 9 without rushing.

Don't ask me how we did it!

Valet @ the contemporary for $6.00 and you can leave your car there all day. It's closer to the MK gate, cheaper to park, and you get valet service to boot!

If people are having trouble getting ressies for the breakfast, you might want to try for lunch or dinner. We had dinner there last year and it was great. The best cesaer salad I've ever had, by far!
Cinderella was also there down in the lobby and my kids had their picture taken with her sitting on her throne and got her autograph. I don't know if she's there all the time, but she was just getting ready to take a break when we got there and she was back by the time we were done with dinner.

We have a ps for 9:45am on Nov.16th. I read somewhere that breakfast is over at 10am. Are they going to rush us out of there,so they can get ready for lunch? Or will it be good,because we will be the last tables there?
