Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Trust me - when you meet a disney character face to face - you ARE a little one. I'll never forget our second trip. My DH paid with his AmeX card so we got a special photo package with Mickey. We had to go to what was called the marketplace at the time for this quick picture with Mickey. My DH turned into a blathering idiot as soon as Mickey entered the room. At first I thought Mickey must have thought he was a total dolt, but then I figured he probably encounters that all the time. If you want to go - go!!! Meet the princess and have a great time!

Beginning February 1, 2006, dining at Cinderella's Royal Table will undergo several changes:

-- Breakfast and Lunch will continue as Disney Princess-themed character meals. However, when you arrive at Cinderella Castle for your reservation, a photographer will be on hand to take pictures of your group in the lobby, before you are seated in the dining room. A package with four 4x6 prints and one 6x8 print of your photo, as well as one 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle, in a Cinderella photo holder (valued at $29.95 plus tax) will be delivered to you during your meal, which will be from a fixed-price, set menu. (Additional photos may be purchased.)

Breakfast: $31.99 ages 10 and up; $21.99 ages 3-9. Lunch: $33.99 ages 10 and up; $22.99 ages 3-9.

-- Dinner will become a fixed-price, set meal, also, hosted by the Fairy Godmother, who will lead the observance of special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. You will also have the chance to have your photo taken before dining, with a photo package similar to that mentioned above offered to you during the meal. In addition, you will receive a special, unframed, unmatted lithograph (worth $50), given exclusively to diners at Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner.

Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and up; $24.99 ages 3-9.

NOTE: Once these changes go into effect (February 1, 2006), payment in full with a credit card will be required at the time of booking for all meals at Cinderella's Royal Table. If you do not have a credit card, the reservation cannot be made. All reservations for dining at Cinderella's Royal Table prior to February 1, 2006, will follow current pricing and deposit payment policies.

Magic Your Way Plus Dining Plan WILL be accepted at Cinderella's Royal Table meals, requiring TWO table service credits.

Goofy - I believe the only characters at dinner are the fairy godmother and 2 mice. From what I have read, they may or may not rotate to tables for a quick "hiya" and photo. They come in about once an hour and do a little ceremony where they have people with special days raise their hands or something. Haven't been there myself since this new dinner thing went into effect, but decided to go for breakfast instead after reading reviews and looking over the new kids menu choices for dinner. Didn't have any trouble at all getting breakfast ressies, even calling at 2 in the afternoon central time. HTH

Thank you intrep, for your response! By reading up on it, that is the way I understood it as well.

I also tried calling 2 months in advance to try to book a PS for Cindy's Bkfast or Dinner, no luck....... So I opted for teh Epcot Princess Dinner. I've heard very good things about it too, and it's less $$$$$$$$$$$$
:thumbsup2

I am new to all of this but when I made my reservations at the castle I had no problem! So....am I thinking of the same restaurant that all of you are? am I missing something that I should be taking my little one to?

What does PS stand for?

Thanks!

We just got back from our annual trip to DW and had a great time. We did breakfast at the Castle on Friday and met Cinderella in the main lobby and then Belle, Alice, the Fairy Godmother, and then Snow White visited us while we were dining.

It's way too expensive for the food... but factoring in the setting and the personal visits by characters, it's worth it. And the photo package was a nice touch.

We had dinner at Akershus in Epcot one night and the picture package was an additional charge. Given that we paid almost the same price as the breakfast (for our food)... it was disappointing that the picture package wasn't included.

I tried all the tips and could never get a ressie. The day we where there I passed by one of the booths that you can make ressies at. Just so happened someone had canceled and we got in that night. Just keep trying because you never know.

This is so true. My niece and nephew wanted to join us for lunch in January, and we could not get them in. They stopped by the door and the hostess added them to our party. :goodvibes

Hi all, we have ADR's for breakfast in May. My question regards the photo that you receive.

What do you do with it? We are going to do the park after breakfast, but would hate for the photo to get all bent up and I really don't want to lug it around.

Will they send it to your room like they do any purchases you make at stores?

Do you rent a locker to keep it in until you are ready to leave?

Can you leave it at the castle and think pick it up on your way out?

Just wondering. :confused3 Thanks.

We had breakfast all set in the castle last October, then Hurricane Wilma hit, and we had it cancelled. I called every day to see if there was a cancel, with no luck. Well one morning we had ADR in at Crystal Palace for 8:05......we hit the caste at 8:00 just to see and they were able to sit us right down. It was great!!!! :thumbsup2

Just some words of encouragement to those that have been trying to get CRT with no luck.

I woke up this morning and decided I wasn't going to wait until January next year for the next vacation and booked a vacation for mid-August on an impulse. I called the dining line around noon today to give it my best shot for ADRs and asked them to try Cindy's for the heck of it. Not only did I get what I wanted (an 8:05 breakfast on our first day of the trip!) but the gentleman said there were others available as well. :cheer2:

So word of advice. Keep trying and something will pop up!

Can I pay out of pocket for CRT?

We're on the dining plan, so naturally they did not charge our CC. However, we will be using way more credits than we have. I've done the math and it seems to make sense to pay out of pocket for this meal...thereby freeing up a total of 6 credits for us. Can I just charge it to my room key at the time of the meal? :confused3

Your CC was not charged? I was under the impression that the CC was charged and then you are issued a credit. I am trying to budget the next trip, and we want to add this meal. We are going to use the DP, but may also pay OOP for this meal.
