Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

I know it is costly but I just have to take my daughter to the castle. I booked the lunch and it does seem like a lot of money for the food.

do the girls dress up as a princess to go to the breakfast? I was thinking of trying to get a costume after halloween.

I'm sure girls do dress up as a princess for this, but when I was there I didn't see anyone dressed up, just normal casual attire.

Travel agents have a direct line to the WDW dining reservations - much quicker than the number I have, which requires me to tell the computer how many times I've been to Disney and what my confirmation number is. It doesn't cost the traveller a dime - I'm not sure why anyone makes their own reservations - especially for Cindy's.

I use small world vacations and it is just - so easy. :cool1:

I want to do the CRT for either breakfast or lunch on our next trip (especially for my DD princess: (5)). Which is better?

If I hadn't called for CRT I wouldn't have gotten the time I wanted and probably wouldn't have gotten it at all even tho my TA was making all my ADR's for me. I wanted a late seating and gave her the time of 10:30. When I got off the phone with WDW with a confirmation # for 10:20 I had an email from my TA that she had problems with my cc (same one I just used with no problems?? fluke kind of thing or problem because we were both using it at the same time, still don't know). The time she would have got me was 8:20. It's great having a TA do alot of the work for you but they can't guarantee they'll get these hard to get ADR's especially CRT. I'd rather know I did everything I could by trying also then leave it up to chance if my TA wasn't lucky that day.

We were there for breakfast on 9-30 and I saw LOTS of little girls dressed up. Probably 40% of the girls dressed. The rest were in regular park attire. No one really dressed in church clothes (dressy but not princess). I fully intend that my little princess will be dressed to meet the princesses.

Anyone know what the impact of the new policy will be on the other princesses coming around?
See this thread:New ADR policy and CRT

I just booked CRT for lunch on January 31 @ 12:30.

Got the prices before they go up February 1! :cool1:

I've loving the new 180 day window. Now I don't have to get up before the rooster does.

My DD5 princess: is going to be sooooo thrilled. Not to mention DD11 and DW. :love1:

Can you keep a secret? :ssst: I'm thrilled toooooooooo!!! :hyper: :hyper:

Are we there yet? :moped:

i am a bit surprised that they will charge *two* TS credits for crt breakfast!! or $39.99... what do they offer for breakfast that's worth $40?! i understand it's popular, but still, that's just crazy... esp when you can see the princesses in epcot for nearly half the price! glad i'm going in january too!

Yeah, this is insane.

Law of supply and demand I guess. Look at the darn gas price :)

The girls who were dressed up - were they all in recognizable princess attire? Or were some of them in fancy (but not princess) dresses?

Just booked breakfast for Easter Sunday. $111.OO for three of us. My 10 year old daughter should think it is quite the treat. I hope it is worth it.

Ok price change or not, I got it for May 3 at 8:10am. I have a DD who will be 5 when we go, and is totally in love with the princesses. We were originally planning on eating in the castle twice--breakfast and dinner, but will give up dinner to eat breakfast there. Just tweaked the meal plans a little. I am loving this 180 days out thing, just wish WDW would get on the ball and get the park hours out.

I just called this morning and got breakfast reservations for Jan 30th! The lady on the phone (didn't catch her name) was wonderful! She told me that starting in Feb. the price of CRT is going to go up considerably, but it will include a picture taken downstairs with the princesses. (I think I heard her right... it was really early.) Since we're two adults traveling with no children, her response was "You're getting in right in the nick of time!"

When did the ADRs go to 180 days?

That's a new one on me- but I'd love to find out more.......

it went to 180 days yesterday (10/28) and there were lotsa posts on the restaurant board about it, as well as on mousesavers and allearsnet.com... good luck!

We just booked a table for 3 on Jan 28....

Got lucky with a cancellation!

I don't know if we'll want to try to go after Feb. 1- with the new changes in effect. A $10 raise in price per person, even with DDE is a bit much! And we're not much on the pre-posed 'photo' opportunities in the Great Hall.

We want to try to sneak in for breakfast before driving to Tampa to see Wicked!

Having eaten in the castle perhaps five times (breakfast three, lunch two) and always luckily encountering at least Cinderella, I can appreciate the thrill of being there. However, I have no desire to go after my last breakfast experience. It was entirely too expensive for a family to be given pre-plated food which we barely touched. Why anyone would want to eat a plate of fried everything -- eggs, sausage, whatever, YUCK! -- then go into the park is beyond me. Very, very poor choice of food. I might be more tempted to try to catch one of the princesses downstairs and skip that costly, heavy meal........
I agree, Crystal Palace was a better chioce for our family. They have an excellent buffet, and the Winnie-the-Pooh characters are there too! princess:

I agree, CP food is much better than most. However, the draw to eat in the castle is huge and we'll (as Disney knows) put up with quite a bit for our first experience to both eat with Cinderella and be in the castle. And my DD4 isn'ty really into the whole princess thing. But she does feel like Cinderella is magical (hmmmm, where does that come from? certainly not the Tinkerbell flying in front of the Castle every single Disney movie . . . ) and I'm feeling rather lucky we're eating there prior to this new policy.

If I'm following the new policy - Cinderella no longer comes in the dining room, but is only available for photos (all in a package breakfast - JUST FOR YOU!). Um, am I the only person who feels like this misses the point? Or maybe I read the announcement wrong . . .
