I had lunch at the castle on 9/15/2017 with my family. I had been here a few other times and was always disappointed in the food, but we were going for the experience/memories with the Princesses. I was so pleased when our food was served this time. It was REALLY GOOD. I would rate it our best meal at Disney for our recent 5 day trip. Most of the adults had the soup and as the entree we had the filet and shrimp. It was super good. Desserts were tasty and fun for the kids. The kids loved the princess visits and our seating/table was great. For the price you pay, it was nice to have good food and a good character experience and the servers were great!!

I agree! We went last year, solely for the princess interaction and the experience. Based on reviews here, I wasn't expecting much. But, it was one of the best meals we had. My steak was delicious, my husband loved his fish dish, and even the kid's steak was phenomenal. My husband actually asked to go back next year, and for the price - it must have been good for him to request it again!

I'll be going to CRT for the first time in January. It's a group of all adult ladies (girl's trip!) Is it a total zoo with the kids and princesses? I like character meals but I am going more for the atmosphere of eating inside the castle...

We ate there for dinner on 9/8. It was one of the best dinners we had and our girls loved building their own cupcakes!

Thanks for this review! Trying CRT for the first time next month and have been second guessing my decision after reading lots of bad reviews. This gives me hope.

We went for our honeymoon last year and LOVED it! I didn't notice any kids running around. It seemed very relaxed to me and we had a lot of fun. We got a table right next to the window which was great.

Dinner for me was better than lunch. Lunch there was affected (not ruined...but noticeable) by one particular family nearby with 5 young children and two adults who didn't do *anything* about their children running wild, screaming, etc etc. Dinner was a bit calmer.

I didn't mention that we were also there for dinner. I've never been there for breakfast or lunch.

I had the same experience on Oct 8th. We went for dinner mainly just to experience the castle and princesses, but was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the soup and DW had the salad. Both were very good. I had the steak/shrimp and it was maybe one of the better steaks I have had at Disney!! DW had the salmon on top of lobster risotto. I tried a little bit of it as well and it was excellent.
