So our first morning in WDW, DBF and I are going to Cinderellas Royal Table. I've read a fair number of reviews and have noticed that children get wands and swords.

Does this also apply to 'big kids'... ie, DBF and I? We are going as a couple and with no children, but I'd love a little something to take with me as it is likely to be my only time in the castle!

We were there for breakfast on Sunday and us adults didn't get anything but DD got a wand a wishing star.

However the food was excellent - I had the stuffed French toast that left me stuffed:rotfl2: DH had steak & eggs which he said he really enjoyed too.

We went as a group of 4 adults and 2 children, and we all got one. We walked away with 4 wands, 4 stars and 2 swords :O)

I think it depends on the server. If you get a really nice one then they will go the extra mile, so to speak.

We had an older lady who was really nice, who you could have a laugh and joke with - frankly quite unusual. Unfortunately not all of our American friends have the same sense of humour as us, but she was lovely and really joined in the fun!!

I read in a US trip report (just tried to look for it but can't find it :scratchin) that when you have little ones with you, they get the swords and wands but when it's a couple without children, the adults get the sword and wand!

I don't know if this is a general rule or whether it depends on which server you get but if you want one, I hope you get one pixiedust:

It's been quite a few years since I went, I can't even remember seeing the little ones with them!

Last there Aug 2010, I was given a wand & ds a sword, we also got wishing stars (dh too). If you don't get offered one, just ask if you could possibly get them, the worst that can happen is that they say no, but I can't see that they would mind.

Awww Wow! I had no idea they sometimes give them to adults. I'd love a sword!

I did get a funny look once when I wanted a light up Tinkerbell (I did get one though!)

Thanks for sharing this info! :cheer2:

My 12 year old daughter is an extremely picky eater. Will she be able to eat of the kiddie menu? Thanks, and so sorry if this has been asked before!:wave2:

If your server doesn't offer you a wand and a sword, just ask for one. I can't ever remember a server saying no.

Me and Dave have been 3 times with out and kids and have got a sword and wand each time so even if you don't get one I have at least one spare one of each that you can have ;)

Ha ha when we ate at yachtsman in 2010 our desert took over an hour our serve was so apologetic and kept asking if there was anything she could do offering is drinks I was pregnant and DH was driving so we couldn't drink so I asked for a glowing tinker bell and buzz lol she brought us out a bunch of them ll I love them!

Aww thanks Leanne! I'll keep that in mind! Although, like others have said, it couldn't hurt to ask!

The first time I went with DBF we didn't get a sword or wand and I was secretly gutted and jealous of all the little kids :lmao:

Last time we we went (last year) my BF asked our server if I could have a wand (I think he was trying to embarrass me) and she brought us a wand and a sword! We have them up in our bedroom now, I loooove them!

It's so lovely, I hope you have a great time. I cried the first time I went when the little kids got so excited at the princesses coming out :rotfl:
