We got supper ADR's, but were told that there is no character interaction??? Is this correct? I have searched and read on here, but can't really find what I am looking for. TIA!
When we went we took pictures with Cinderella before being seated. The Godmother and mice (Suzie and Perla?) did a little show, and then the mice came around and took pictures with us at the table.
We enjoyed the dinner. It's not a ton of character interaction, but there is some.
We didn't think it was worth it for dinner. We did it last year but it was not worth the huge amount we paid. DD could have cared less. And she is all about the princesses.
When we went in September, 2008, there was no interaction with the characters during the meal. After the little show, the mice and FG walked around waving and one rubbed my DS's head but did not stop for pics or one-on-one interaction. Cinderella was posing downstairs with folks waiting to be seated.
Out of the three meals served in the Castle, it's the best one for the food, not for the characters. We really enjoyed our meal and plan to return! If you're looking for the princesses, then try to get breakfast or lunch.

Interesting, we took four different posed pictures with the mice, and they took pictures at the tables around us. I wouldn't have been happy, if they had just walked on by.
I just booked this for our trip in 2 weeks as I have given up on trying to get a breakfast or lunch reservation. I hope it is decent, I had to prepay as we are not on the dining plan....but hey, I think being in the castle is going to be pretty cool for all concerned. ) Thanks for asking this question.
CRT dinner is a family tradition....we go every time...
Cinderella seems very careful to spend time with the whole family while we take pictures with her...and I have had time to interact and get pics with Perla....
I asked DS...now17....who has been to WDW 10 times....once "what does he like" about CRT...and his answer surprised me...
He said...it's how the whole staff stays in character...for example they will call him Prince and DD's Princesses...
we had a nice chat with our waiter last visit...and he spent a lot of time with us answering questions....
The food is good...even picky DD1 LOVED her Lavendar chicken...even looking up the recipe when we got home ...which is out of character for her...
I recommend it if you have the extra money...I mean....after all...you are eating in THE CASTLE!
