First thing in the morning are you able to walk through the castle to get to Fantasyland? Or is it roped off? I honestly can't remember....

First thing in the morning it is usually open.

They close it off when the character show in front of the castle is playing.

I'm not sure what you mean. I took this pic when DD was in BBB. We had an 8:30AM reservation, but once we were inside the gate there were no other ropes to go through.
