The park opens at 9 am. I have a ressie for 9:05 am. Can I get in a little early? I'm thinking with the crowds...I'll be late!

Hmm...nobody? I heard that I can go in 30 mins early to make sure I am not late, but I have also heard of 9:00 times not getting in before rope drop.

We are giving up early morn breakfast in lieu of being there in time for rope drop. We are prioritizing rides over character dining. We'll squeeze that in later in the day.

Yes, dining reservations can actually be made for time slots before the park actually opens. (ie. 8am reservations) They go fast, so you have to to try grab them right away. You'll want to arrive early and find the line to the side where you can get in the park early with reservations.

At the MK, they actually start letting people check bags and scan in early because of the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show. The entire front area will be a sea of people waiting for the show that you cannot get past if you do not get there early enough to identify the reservation check-in area. If you have trouble making it through, the restaurants are usually pretty nice and have a 10-15 minute window of exceptions. (CRT specifically, I am not sure about as we haven't dined there yet.)

I tried to get an earlier one, but no luck. This was all they had available...or later. Now that I checked back even the later is gone.

Keep checking back every now and then. For CRT, I think it's 48hrs instead of the normal 24hr cancellation policy. Some cancellations might happen as your reservation date gets closer. It's worked out that way for some of our Crystal Palace Reservations anyway. I've been able to reschedule from 9:30ish times to an earlier 8:20 reservation as slots open with cancellations. But, it seems they do go fast.

Good luck with your search! :)

Thanks I took your advice. I was skeptical that something would open up, but it did! I moved it to 8:10 and will get in for that picture now:) Thanks guys!
