I am totallly incensed, while looking on e-bay at tickets I noticed that someone is trying to auction off their Cinderella breakfast reservations. I know how hard people work to get these reservations and i am outraged, disgusted and totally appalled that someone would have the gall to do this. i know some people will do anything to make a buck but this is really low. :sad2:  :sad1:   (if there was a little face with a disgusted expression I would have used that one also) Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh great...how to make money....just call and make a bunch of CRT reservations and then sell them on e-bay? This stinks! Breath deep and believe that karma will kick them in the behind!

That happened a couple of years ago and I e-mailed the 2 bidders just to make sure they realised that they had to pay for the meal on top of the auction :confused3 One did, the other didn't.
As it happened the auction finished on quite a high bid, the buyer found they couldn't use the ps and put it back up to sell - no-one bought :badpc:
Mmmm!

The other thing people may not realise is that Disney have cottened on to this. Apparantly now, the person who attends has to be the same person as on the original reservation.

People have also been known to sell park passes and even APs on eBay. I once saw a guy selling an AP (not a voucher, mind, a fully activated Florida resident-AP) and emailed the buyer, who was not a FL resident, to warn her that she was being scammed.

The way I figure it, if people will bid $20 on US $1 bills with George Washington's face replaced with a photocopy of George Bush or Bill Gates, they'll buy anything.

Yup. I just made ressies for Cindy's lunch in August and the CM stated over and over to make sure I had photo ID with me when I checked in for the reservation...so buying off EBay wouldn't help at all.

I haven't been to CRT but when we went to the Spirit of Aloha I had to show my ID, DH's ID and my in-laws ID's (not sure why it was all in my name)

But anyways I seriously don't think it will work for them and it is pitiful that people stoop so low to try and make a buck.

It is for reasons like this that people can't trust one another!!

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I just went on ebay to see this disaster myself, and I think I found it. If I have the right one the seller has 0 bids so far, but the auction is still young. The interesting part of this is, if someone does "buy this" and they get to CRT and when asked for photo ID are turned away because name doesn't match, wouldn't the seller's credit card still be charged?

how would that be for karma? :rotfl2:

Wow, this is really low. I hope no one bids on this. :sad2:

If this can not be done, shouldn't someone alert Ebay about this auction. I don't use Ebay that much so not sure about proceedures. I would just hate to be a buyer that was unaware that I wouldn't get into CRT after paying for it. Just a thought. ::MinnieMo

I am all for creative fundraising, even in MOFO(my own frugal opinion) this is sad and pathetic. What's next selling your place in line at the grocery store???

I think if EBay was contacted with complaints that they would pull this auction - Also there has to be away to notify Disney - they will stop it for sure. I hope that no one bids.

If someone notifies Ebay I'm sure it will be pulled.

You cannot sell your advanced dining reservation at Cinderella's. The person whose name is on the reservation is the one that must show ID at check-in. No one can take over someone elses reservation. The only option is to cancel and rebook--if you can get it when you cancel it before someone else snatches it up.

This auction should definitely be pulled.

I would email the high bidder and tell them that they will not be able to use the reservation because it has to be the person who put the deposit down. I imagine they ask for the original credit card.

Sorry, but I do not find this different than buying your passes or tickets on eBay. Or a sweatshirt, etc. Who cares?

If WDW was smart, they would open the CB to lunch and dinner, so twice as many people would be inclined to go and would put this type of "piracy" out of issuance.

I e-mailed Ebay. Unfortunately you can only type in the item number that you want reviewed. If they e-mail me back and ask for a reason I will tell them about the photo ID. I'd hate to see someone get their kids' hopes up and then get there and be denied! I can't even imagine what my DD would have done. Oh yeah......I can! Can we say "melt down".
