i know this has nothing to do with our trip, but i have to brag for a minute.

my cousin, kelsie, is a senior in high school and she got homecoming queen last friday night. isn't she just soooooo pretty??? i think she looks like hayden pana...whatever her name is! a/k/a claire from heroes....

to my tennessee friends, she goes to high school in the same town that memom lives in! i didn't want to announce her school on the internet - you never know who's reading this stuff.

I already miss the AC! My DH tried to be awesome and send me for the weekend just to be there for the last weekend of it but financially it wasn't the best idea. Oh well. I loved it there and am def sad it';s almost gone! Great pics! And your cousin does look like the chick from Heroes!

Congratulations to Kelsie! She does look beautiful. Trent was dating our homecoming queen during his senior year, so we know firsthand the behind-the-scenes work and the 'on-stage' excitement that goes with that night. I know it was a night filled with fun and memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Adventurers' Club looks interesting. I know a lot of people have been really upset about it closing. It's nice that Disney has had so many different types of entertainment venues for so many different types of people, so maybe they will reopen this sometime again, since it seems to have been incredibly popular.

I am from Maine originally but live in Omaha for now so I can tell you how they are doing. They have played 2 games and won both of them. They play Virginia Tech this weekend. I am not a Husker fan , but they talk about them all the time here so that is how know. Have you ever been in Nebraska when there is a Husker game? They play that instead of music in the stores at the mall and everybody wears red. It is crazy!!!!

My parents live in Bellevue and I graduated from Bellevue West. When I lived in Nebraska I could've cared less about the Huskers. But, I suspect the fans there are like the Buckeye fans here. Besides, what else is there in Nebraska besides the Huskers?

Great update Dawn. I'm so glad that you posted those videos and pictures of the AC. I've never been there before and it is too bad that I won't have the chance to go. There seemed to be a lot of talent in that room. You have to wonder what happens to them when their place of business shuts down. You are right about that guy looking like Ryan Stiles. I loved that show btw.

Great update! We never went to the AC b/c I HATE being heckled (or the thought of it) so I avoid places like that like the plague. It looks like it wasn't as bad as I thought so perhaps I should have went.

Love the AC photos! I am so sad that I never went there. That was one thing I really wanted to do on my trip last week, but we never got around to it. We had planned to go on our second night but my DH decided wanted to go to DisneyQuest instead. So then we said we'd go on our very last night, but of course, by then we were just too exhausted for a late night. It had been a very busy 10 days and we were just out of steam. But I could kick myself now! It sounds like you two had fun, though. I can't wait to watch the videos later!

when the boxes were delivered for our fridge/coffee maker swap, there were 3 boxes. i was wondering what was in the 3rd boxes and when i opened it i couldn't believe my eyes:

yes, that is a bottle of vodka AND a bottle of rum. i guess someone left it that couldn't take it on a plane with them? we ended up deciding it probably wouldn't be too good to drink since we didn't know who had it before us. i just don't trust people! so i'm sad to say that we were practical and poured it down the drain. I KNOW!!!! THE HORROR!!!!! maybe we're paranoid but we just didn't think it was safe to drink and i didn't want to mess with packing it back up.

Thanks for the pics and video of the AC. I never went there but I after hearing about it here on the DIS I probably would have when we went down next year (my mom's coming with us so built in babysitter).

I also hate fish, I am very freaked out by fish, I remember was I was little I saw cannibal goldfish, so that's where it started, then when I was older I went on a cruise and everyone went snorkeling I couldn't go, you know slimey disgusting wiggly fish. ( which unfortunately keeps me from eating at the Corral Reef restaurant) well anyway back to the fish thing, so when everyone was snorkeling I walked into the ocean only up to my knees, when wouldn't you know a big slimey wiggly disgusting school of fish swam thru my legs. That was it for me, I don't go in the ocean or near fish. Funny note is that I live on a lake full of disgusting fish and gross birds looking for fish, I do not sit outside my house at all, alligators fine no problem but no fish or birds please. Great TR

Funny - I have the same fish phobia and have not eaten at Coral Reef because of it. I am going with friends in December and we are planning to eat there - I told them I just will not look at the tank!
