CINDERELLA!!!! The Vandy girls are BACK!!!**UPDATE 8-8-09! THE END-FINALLY! Page 83**

You girls got a lot of good photopass pictures!

And in a non-photopass picture, Matt looks like he is enjoying himself in front of the castle.
And I like the fact that not one person is turning around to stare at him, even with his unique headgear on.

Dawn, that's no good about your new bag breaking, but I'm sure the new one is a nice souvenir from your "Year of Many Trips". You're going at such good times, too, because you got to see all the cool fall decor, and next you're going to see all the awesome Christmas stuff. I'm so glad we were able to do both last year, but it it dangerous, because it makes you want to be able to do it every year!

On a side note, I watched Barry Booker play many, many games. He played with our friend, Steve Reece. I think he was a couple of years behind Steve. I think he is a class act, and I know anyone will be lucky to have him work for them, if he has to change positions.

i'm a very lucky girl this year. i realized awhile back that i will have attended every special "party" event that MK offers this year. that totally wasn't planned!

Loveeee the update, funny sidenote about Country Bears...I'm going on this upcoming trip with my BF and I figured Country Bears was out of the question b/c I didn't think he would want to do it. You know how a 23 yr old guy can be, think he's too cool and whatnot. So I'm on the DIS one night and another TR had pics of CB posted and he goes "What's that?" I told him it was CB and he goes "I LOVE COUNTRY BEARS!" Needless to say, I'm overjoyed that CB WILL be on our list of to-do's at MK :lmao: Great pictures too, all the photopass ones came out especially good.

cool! i'm glad you get to see it. it's not a must-do for me, but it is a cute show and a classic. it's nice to do after a big lunch or dinner to let your food settle!

Wow you really took some awesome pictures. The picture of Erica standing by the castle the same place she stood when she was a little is priceless. Dawn I noticed the picture with your mouth open, I didn't see any cavities. You have very nice teeth. You two are so funny. I hope you don't mind I used your Mickey pumpkin picture as my screen saver.:)

isn't that picture of little erica cute??? and about my teeth, thanks, but if you only knew!!!! :lmao: i had like 4 cavities at that point. i got one of them filled after i got home but the other ones i'm waiting on until i can (hopefully) get on ray's insurance and not have to pay out of pocket for them. they're not bad though - you can't SEE them.

OMG - that thought crosses my mind EVERY time I'm there!!!!
( :ssst: I've always thought the Swiss Family treehouse would be a great hiding place!)

i have thought that too!!! :rotfl2:

You do that! Hehe.

That is pretty cool. Can you say what it is for?

well, i can't say what he said, but i can certainly say what it's for because it's been in the papers anyway. decory bryant was a UGA player (corner back i think?) that got hurt in 2003 at the UAB game and he's suing the UGA athletic association because supposedly they didn't turn in the insurance papers in time before his injury and therefore he didn't get the money he was supposed to get if he got injured. it was a career-ending injury - he had to have surgery on his neck. and from what i've heard, he had potential to go pro. i think vince dooley was the athletic director at that point. i know damon evans started around that time, but i can't remember exactly when.

Well, I am about to head to Athens now. DO DAWGS!!! (sorry bout that but I just had to, ya know! *wink*)

hey.......that's not allowed on this thread! :rotfl:

i will be watching from my couch 20 miles from where you sit and cheering for my boys!!!!! :cheer2: i wish i could go buy tickets from a scalper but our checking account is hurting right now so i just can't do it.

pirate: GO 'DORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pirate:

That's terrible the bag broke. I guess it wasn't made too well. The replacement bag was a neat idea with '08 on it. Very fitting since you will always remember this year. :yay: You can use it next trip too.

Football...more football, you girls sure do like your football. ;) Just kidding, after all you are "Vandy girls". :thumbsup2

yep, we love football! if only soccer was popular in the U.S. - i love it more than football! but since it's very rare you can watch soccer on TV here, i will be happy with my commodore football! :thumbsup2

That is horrible. I would sue too. I can't believe they didn't offer to help with the medical bills or something, if it was their fault! I mean, they are rolling in it with that stadium filled to capacity every home game! I'd have to tell Vince, "How rude!"

Yeh, sorry about that. ;)

Actually the tickets were fairly reasonable compared to what they have been for the AL game and the TN game. And despite the loss, your Commodores played a good game. They were in it the whole time. Had us GA fans on the edge of our seat! Sorry they lost, but I'd be proud of them for hanging in.

yep, we love football!

Yeh, sorry for all the football talk, but I absolutely LOVE it - and love talking about it, as you can see...lol. I think many Southern gals tend to be into it, as most of us grow up watching with family and such. College football is **IT** in the South. As far Vandy, they are really having a great year - will definitely make it to bowl eligible and more I am sure - which is exciting for fans, such as our Vandy Girls. When you are excited, you can't help but talk about it!

well, the school did pay the medical bills. but the thing is he was pro football eligible and he was in the process of buying an insurance policy that would give him $500,000 (or something like that) if he got hurt before he turned pro. from what i understand, he claims they didn't turn the paperwork in on time and that caused him not to get that insurance. so his medical bills were paid for, but he's wanting the money he would've gotten with the insurance policy. in some ways i think it's kinda greedy. but then on the other hand it's kinda like protecting your investment. i'm sure he worked very hard at becoming the athlete he was and all his dreams went down the drain with that injury. not that money would compensate for that, but i'm sure it would help!

i'm very proud but frustrated at the same time because i know they can do better. thanks for being a good sport though. you do realize that most georgia fans are not like you and instead their response would be way more in your face and obnoxious! so thanks for not being that way. ;) i think we did great for the most part. it was so painful watching them try to get the 1st down on those 3rd and short plays!

about the liquid in the wine glass - maybe it's from the box you got in your room with the fridge swap.:lmao:

isn't that picture of little erica cute???

Awwwww thanks :goodvibes

You and me to sister!

Ditto - I hope it doesn't hurt that we didn't beat MSU last weekend :headache: Duke is a must win for us Sat which is scary :scared1:

Now I would have drank some box wine had we received that

Ah ok. Yeh I can see his point. If UGA is admitting they turned it in late, I think they are at fault. But if they aren't, I guess this guy would have to prove that.

Yeh, sometimes teams play above their ability and sometimes below. Happens to all of them at some point. I think it is also harder for Vandy to match up with some of the other SEC teams b/c they have higher entrance requirements. Not trying to say the Dawgs are dumb, but I've seen quite a few "housing" majors at UGA...lol. It is a lot easier to get a bigger "talent pool" as far as football when you don't have to worry as much about grades and such.

Well as far as how nice I am, that depends on the other person. ;) Honestly though, I just don't like to make people feel bad. Not just with this but in all areas. I guess I have been made to feel bad enough times in my life, I don't want to do that to someone else. I am a little bit more rude to my good friends...lol...cuz I'm allowed and they do it right back when their team is doing well. Also, I am not as considerate to the FL fans; well, if they are the horribly rude kind...which is quite often. ;)

Well, Duke is playing better this year, mostly b/c of David Cutcliffe - which is probably why TN is doing so bad, but I digress - but I still think Vandy is a better team than Duke. I guess losing to MSU could hurt you if all you win is 6 games, but if you guys win more than I think you'll be fine. Also, MSU did go to a bowl game last year and gave LSU a run for its money - not that LSU look anything like they did last year, which is a plus for GA who plays them Saturday - and beat Auburn. I think pollsters know that teams get caught looking ahead or just stumble for whatever reason. Hey even SC did it against Oregon State.

Cute pictures guys. I love fall to begin with so I guess that's why I love the fall decorations at Disney although I have never seen them in person, yet.

( :ssst: I've always thought the Swiss Family treehouse would be a great hiding place!)
You know some CM has to trudge to the top of that thing every night at closing to make sure no one's up there! :rotfl:

Oh yeah, and...

Geaux Tigers! (sorry) :lmao::lmao:

I just had the best time reading all your posts thus far! And frankly I'm REALLY stoked about a recent ADR change I made for a 1900 Park Fare dinner - I have a daughter named Anastasia and a 13 year old who thinks he IS Prince Charming... this should make for a ridiculously great dining experience!

If you already love fall decorations, you will love walking down Main Street and seeing all the orange and gold and the pumpkins and scarecrows. It just adds something special to the whole atmosphere! I hope you get to experience it all in real life very soon, because it is very cool.

Dawn - Going to every special party in one year deserves a special certificate of some kind, I would think! I think we better check into that and see if there's something available.

I  Country Bear Jamboree!! I told Dawn it's one of the things I rememeber as a child and will never forget doing. I hope they don't get rid of this and I've heard rumors they might

I wondered how often the liquid is changed :confused3

I think I remember the lady bear that comes out of the celing the most.
P1030506.jpg

Erica, I have all these exact sentiments!! I have such fond memories of going to see the country bears as a kid (BTW: I thought the pic of you as a kid by the castle was so sweet princess: )

Since you are following my TR, you will see I did make it back this summer. I don't have any strong memories of anything specific except the moose and gang on the wall and the girl bear that comes down from the ceiling!

I also wondered about the liquid in the wine glass this year :confused3

That is my dream :cloud9: . Maybe someday when there aren't kids at home or they are old enough to go with me on the "big kids" rides. I know DH wouldn't indulge me to go along on that many trips but it would be fun to do a couple mom and son trips (one son at a time)

I am really enjoying your tr! Looks like you had lots of fun!

I had thought about going to 1900 Park Faire the last couple of trips with my daughter, but after your photos and the video links I will definately make that a priority next trip. It looks like a great time.

That's amazing how many photopass pics you have from Epcot.

Whew! All caught up! I've missed alot here! My DH had shoulder surgery then I've been so busy I haven't been able to catch up with the Dis!

Good stuff! Great updates!:cool1:

Just got caught up and loving it! :thumbsup2

We were there the week after you guys, and we had the same Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare. I was not impressed with him..... And it looked like a very bad wig he had on too!

Great pics from Dream Along with Mickey show!!

I love your pics of the pumpkins. I didn't even notice all the (fake) carved pumpkins, too cute!! :goodvibes

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

to anyone who lives in georgia or anywhere near here.....

please help! i found this little guy in the park today and he's a stray. he ran right up to me and gave me kisses - he's super friendly! i took him to the vet and they think he's about 1 year old. i had him dewormed (no evidence of worms but just in case because i have other doggies) and i also got his rabies shot. he's not neutered. PLEASE let me know if you're interested or know of anyone who might be! if we don't find him a home within a week or two, i will be forced to take him back to the vet and they will give him to the humane society to hopefully find him a home. he's so sweet and deserves a nice family to love him! we would love to keep him but we already have two doggies (beagles - what a coincidence!) and don't have the room for a third. if you want more pictures, let me know. i took this one with my phone but am happy to take more and send them.

my DH would never have gone 3 times in one year, so i had to improvise! seriously though - i really didn't plan that. i just got lucky.

i know - that wig was kinda ghetto! he didn't have much personality but i guess they can't all be completely awesome. i loved all the pumpkins......so pretty!

The puppy is so sweet! I hope just the right family will take him in. He looks like he could use some lovin'!

What a sweet puppy! He reminds me of my Daisy! I hope some great family takes him in! What do your dogs think of him?

Those eyes are so sad looking...they just say, "take me home."
