Hi,

What can you tell me about Cinderella Royal Table. I know it's a signature meal and am wondering if it's worth the 2 table credit. And if so, what is better, breakfast or dinner? Are they both buffets? What characters for each meal? Or should we stick wtih something like Crystal Palace that is 1 table credit?

My daughter will be 5 and LOVES Cinderella, but not sure my 9 year old boy will tolerate it.

Thanks...would love to hear good and bad comments and again.

CRT is not a buffet. You order off a menu. You meet Cinderella when you first enter, but before you go upstairs to the restaurant. There is a photo taken with Cinderella and it is included in the price of your meal. The other princesses come around during your meal. I think they change, but the ones we had last time at breakfast were Aurora, Ariel, Snow White and Jasmine. I think the experience is the same no matter what time of day you go; it is just the meal that is different. So whatever works best for you.

Thank you. Sounds like something my daughter would love, but not so much my 9 year old son.

Is it worth 2 table credits? Or can we get similar experience somewhere else?

My DD is 7 and the food has gotten better for dinner as of late, the breakfast i havent been to in years because food wise there was no value. I also did the lunch in 2008 whihc was no great shakes either. but remember 1. its the castle, and 2 ITS THE CASTLE. So no you can not get the same experience anywhere else. The closest would be Akershus in Epcot Norway but i only reccomend breakfast there. Akershus has the Belle in the yellow dress as the host where Cinderella is the host in CRT. There is Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora, and could swap in Mary Poppins from time to time

Only you can determine if it is worth 2 TS credts. I stopped the dining plane a while ago and now just use Tables in Wonderland.

We thought the breakfast was very good and it was worth the 2 credits because each princess comes to the table to meet the children. It saved us hours of having to wait in line to meet them.

I heard the Fairy Godmother is at CRT as well. Is that true or should we schedule time before that to wait in line to meet her?

The Fairy Godmother is at 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella, along with the evil stepmother and wicked stepsisters. Prince Charming is supposed to be there as well, but was a no show when we dined there. Great food and tons of entertainment, as the characters visit each table and interact with one another, all in character. We watched the stepsisters actually take each other down, and the stepmother came over and broke up the "fight." Great fun! This dinner is at the Grand Floridian.

I've been to/through the castle many times but never CRT. Where the heck do you enter the actual restaurant? Is it under the castle (through the arches)? We have breakfast there 3 weeks from today and it just dawned on me that I have no idea how to get in!!!

Yes, go through the castle tunnel. It's toward the back of the castle, to the right if you are coming from Main St., to the left if you enter from Fantasyland.

To the OP, if you would like a princess meal without using 2 credits, try Akershus in EP or 1900 Park Fare dinner. Akershus is great, basically same princesses as CRT and food is better IMHO. 1900 is Cinderella, stepmother, stepsisters, etc., so not a variety of princesses. With CRT, that extra dining credit is due to being in the castle. If you don't care about that, I would save the dining credit and eat at Akershus or 1900.

I've dined at CRT 3 times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. Regarding the characters, The Fairy Godmother and two of the mice use to be there for dinner, but were replaced a couple of years ago with a variety of princesses. We had dinner here Oct. 2013 and the food was great. Honestly its not the best food we've ever had, but we dine here for the experience of eating in the castle. (I have a 7 year old daughter and she loves it so that justifies the 2 dining credits.) We have also eaten at Akkershus 4 times. Once for lunch (YUCK!) and 3 times for breakfast which is wonderful. A photograph with Bell is included and 4-5 princesses visit your table. It's only 1 dining credit and has satified my daughter when I was not able to snag a reservation for CRT.

For us, the experience of eating in the castle wasn't worth it. It didn't live up to the hype like I thought it would. My daughters actually prefer Akershus. I think you get the same character experience yet it's cheaper and we think the food is better (we love dinner here; we've had a variety of meals and all have been great. I love the mushroom filled pasta--YUM) Having said all that, I'm still glad I ate at CRT to form my own opinion. Everyone raves about it, so if I hadn't tried it, I would probably still wonder what the experience was like. Now we save our extra meal credit and get to enjoy two great places!

My family has eaten there twice. Both for dinner. Once in 2011 and once October 2013. I will say this the food improved a lot from 2011 to 2013. We actually threw my daughter 5th birthday in the castle. They offer a great celebration package for an extra fee. She got a tiara, balloon, an engraved glass slipper, and a cake. It was an amazing experience. She was dressed up from her morning at BBB. The food is good, the service is good, the characters come to the table, they smile for a picture, and they sign the books. You get a photo package included in the price, and the kids get a wishing star and a magic wand. It is a wonderful experience worth doing at least once. My son is 8 he was fine with it. the princesses called him Charming and smiled at him, which is every boys dream...if your daughter would enjoy it then its worth the 2 meals. You can get a similar experience at Akershus in Epcot for 1 meal credit. you get a photo and the princess are there. or at 1900 park fare, that actually has the evil step mother, and step sisters and prince charming for the boys.

I believe my son actually got a sword instead of a wand. We have 4 children so it is sometimes hard to keep track LOL

I agree!!! DD5 had the Her Royal Highness Birthday Package too. Lunch was very good. We had heard reviews stating food not good, so food quality must be improving. This was one of our best meals. Boys do receive swords instead of wand. Akershus breakfast is wonderful. 1900 Park Fare, dinner, is great too, but only Cinderella.

I believe everyone should eat at the castle at least once. For the personal meet with Cinderella (no wait times/lines), photos included, gratuities included. Yes, it's worth 2 credit. Also, everyone's perception about good dining places is different. Enjoy planning your dining experiences.

Wow...can imagine that being quite the birthday!!! My 5 year old would go crazy for that.

So...looks like it's a toss up between Cinderella Royal Castle for dinner, 1900 Park Fare (I believe for dinner from what I researched), Akershus breakfast, and Crystal Palace (which I think if more Mickey and friends at breakfast).

My daughter loves Cinderella...her favorite (well, after Anna and Elsa). I'm just worried it'll be too girly for my son. Maybe 1900 Park Fare for dinner is a good compromise? But without the park hopper, can you leave the park for dinner and then return to the same park that you were at for evening activities?

Crystal Palace is Pooh and Friends (Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore) and we love that meal. We have eaten there on every trip.

We have done both Akershus and CRT. We have done Akershus twice and CRT once. Much much much prefer breakfast at Akershus to lunch. We really adore Akershus and the atmosphere once inside, is similar to a castle.

We adored CRT too, and we just made room for it on our schedule but it wasn’t that hard for me. Because I don’t do table service on either our arrival or departure days we have an extra credit for CRT. So, I’m not giving up anything to include it in our plans. I like the wishing ceremony at CRT, the effects with the lights and how they introduced each princess. We enjoyed the food too. My daughter loved her wand and my son enjoyed his sword and is a total flirt with the princesses. But what we really got into and what separated it for me was that it is in the castle. They ring a bell and announce your family. They announce you at Akershus too, but it was really neat watching my little girl go up the staircase after we were called in. There was just something about it.

For me also it was combining CRT with BBB. It was a neat experience to have her made over in the castle, then do her photo session in Castle Couture and after a couple of rides go to CRT for a meal.

Still, it was a tough call for the trip we have coming up because we also adore Belle and since they removed Belle from Town Square Theater Akershus is the only place to get real interaction (conversation and an autograph) with her in the yellow ball gown. But we are coming to the end of my daughter’s BBB eligibility (she’ll be 11 this year), we're celebrating her graduating from elementary school and we couldn't get a reservation at either restaurant on our last trip so we are doing the BBB/CRT combo this time.

Happy planning

I ate there with my 5 year old son a few months ago. We don't do the dining plan so I can't really say if its worth the credits but I do think its worth the cost to do at least once. There was something magical about eating inside the castle and our lunch was truly one of the best meals I've had at Disney. My son came dressed as a knight with his own sword and they gave all the boys swords as well. When Ariel came around she asked him if he would have a sword fight with her and he did with great excitement.

Will your 9 year old boy love it as much as your younger daughter maybe not, but it will still be fun for all I think.

CRT, Akershus, 1900 PF, or CP. All are great but uniquely different.

1st: You can leave & return to the same park for the day without a park hopper. Ex, you start @ MK leave for a nap. You can return to MK after nap on the same day. You cannot go to MK, leave for nap & go to EP after nap without PH. You need to take into account travel time. Are you referring to 1900 PF & a MK day, or 1900 PF & EP.

Dining: It seems you are only choosing 1 of the 4 restaurants. Is this correct? If so , & daughter needs Cinderella, but son would not enjoy castle, & credits are an issue....1900 PF dinner features Cinderella (breakfast us character but not cinderella). I think your son would get a kick out of the stepsisters. If choosing best experience for both, more neutral...1900 PF would work or CP. But remember CP is Pooh & Friends, no princesses @ no mouse.

I hope this helps.
