I was just wondering what is a good time to go to this and still be able to see the fireworks after. Can you see them from inside the castle? How long does it usually take for dinner? I would like to be able to walk right out the castle and find a spot to see them. And have them start within like 10 mins. I have two young kids and I don't think they can stand around for too long that late at night without getting tried and complaining.

If you want to walk out of the castle and see fireworks I would plan your meal 90-120 minutes prior to Wishes. I would check a times guide for your date. I don't know if you can see fireworks from inside the castle. If you try to come out just before the fireworks start, you will be in the middle of a very large crowd of people. I don't know if the castle is the best place to see Wishes. But I think it can be done.

You can't see the fireworks from inside the castle. And too close to the castle isn't great either. One of my favorite places is the pathway to the right of the castle off the Tomorrowland bridge. It heads down to the old boat landing. There's a planter I often try to sit on.

Actually if you are eating while you are in the restaurant you can see them but it is a limited view. Some seats have a more limited view than others, also. They even lower the lights when it starts.
