Cinderella Castle Suite Photos

I hope a DISer wins, too!!

Thanks for posting the pics!!
The toilet and shower look interesting.
Defintely would enjoy the jacuzzi tub!

Thank you. This past December we had lunch with an Imagineer who was art director of the Magic Kingdom. I asked about the apartment in the castle and he told us the bed is an antique and cost Disney $100,000.00. The sleeper sofa cost $25,000.00 and the linens and draperies cost $40,000.00. He said Disney went way over the budget with this project.

BarbaraK- you may have answered my question. The sleeper sofa must be for the extra 2 people.

So many questions/comments, a few of which have already been asked.

- I noticed no windows. To me that makes it a little less magical since you can't actually look out onto your kingdom at night. Plus, I think I'd be a little claustrophobic not being able to see outside.

- So are you "trapped" in your room all night? I'm guessing they wouldn't let you wander around the park at 2:00 am.

- And can you enter and exit the room up until park closing? Or is it once you are in, you are there until the morning?

- When do you have to leave? Do you get to stay in the room until late morning, or do you have to be out before park opening?

- Are people going to be bragging about, um, how do I say this, "getting romantic", in this suite the same way they do about the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House?

I've got more, but I think I'll leave it at that. But even with all of these concerns, I would still love to have the chance to stay there.

Wow! Those pictures are totally incredible.

We are taking a trip in April & October. It would be such a dream to win a night in the castle too.

This was posted by a CM on another thread:

No wandering allowed. You would be escorted up to the suite at a certain time and there would be someone available during the night if you should need anything as you would be locked into the suite until the next morning. There is no balcony access (so far) and you must leave by 8 am the next morning.

Thanks! That clears up a lot of questions. Although, I sorta figured it would work that way.

WOW~~

Thanks for sharing..heres to March for us even tho we are only in the park for 2 days!!

The pictures are great...and I didn't read the whole thread, so I might be the only one..........BUT......isn't the suite sort of, ummmm, I don't know....dark?

Not that I would turn down a night in the castle mind you, but the suite isn't at all what I expected! It doesn't seem very "Disney" or very Cinderella-ish to me. :confused3 It looks like a VERY fancy hotel room, in like New York or something. I think young Cinderella lovers might be disappointed.

Don't get me wrong though! It's gorgeous! but, I guess "magical" just doesn't come to mind.

Personally I liked the Mickey Suite at Disneyland much better! All the Mickey's everywhere and the very cool Mickey talking mirror!

They can't actually "lock" you in. That would be against fire code. They must have someone there to "stand guard" so no one wanders about.

OMG amazing....DH will be there in a few weeks, maybe we will win, it would be a far cry from a night at the AS Music :goodvibes

It so reminds me of what Walt might have drawn in his mind (if he had done so) but NOT what he would have actually placed in his own apartment. It is beautiful in its own way!
