Does anyone know if the cigar shop in Downtown Disney is still open? I know smoking is bad for you but I confess to liking the odd cigar now and again. Does anyone else know of any other cigar shops in the area?:confused3

Yes, I quite agree and yes!

Sosa Family Cigars is still open and there is also a Cigar Bar (run by the same operation by Raglan Rd) where you can enjoy a puff - a very pleasant spot to while away an hour or so - trust me!!

Whilst they are convenient, they aren't the cheapest around. We always pay a visit to The Corona Cigar Co at Sand Lake Road - here which has a huge selection and is definitely cheaper than Sosa and they also do box discounts if you're thinking of bringing some back. They've also got a bar that permits smoking.

Also, there is Cigarz at Citywalk which is a retail operation and bar (on the upper level above the Cinema). I've found that they sometimes have some of the harder to find cigars, but do have a good general selection as well.

All three places have helpful staff if you want to have a browse around.

Not sure what your taste is but Cigar Aficionado have just announced their top 25 for the year and the Casa Magna Colorado Robusto came top and is around $5 a pop so must be good.

We've bought quite a lot from all three and never been disappointed. Normally, the stores have copies of Cigar Aficionado lying around for inspiration.

Happy puffing;) ;)

I HAVE JUST SEEN THE SITE!!! I can see me spending time here, wife and son allowing! I know it sounds daft but where is Raglan Rd? And yes I intend bringing back my allowance and my wifes and anyone else I can talk into it. My son is 9 worth a go?! I will probably have to try one or two before buying boxes, what a hardship!!! We have booked to stay in the Poly in December for 5 nights so will no doubt visit Downtown to sample some of these delights. Thanks for the advice. I also like Cuban but I don't smoke that much to be a connoiseur.:thumbsup2

Martin, Raglan Rd is in Pleasure Island, but at the Marketplace side of things. If you walk through Pleasure Island you can't miss Raglan Road and Fuego (the bar) is to the left of it - opposite the Harley Davidson shop.

Quite agree with bringing back you allowance, I've often thought about bringing back the next door neighbours;)

When we were there in Nov I brought back some Oliva Serie G (understand Serie V are also good) and La Gloria Cubano Serie R no.4(both boxes from Corona) think that they both averaged around $5 each when I bought boxes.

I've got a couple of Cubans left (I think) but obviously with being in the States you won't get Cubans, albeit I think in this day in age that Cubans aren't the pinnacle necessarily. I also brought some CAO America's back which are nice.

If you're in Sosa they do some lovely cigars, the Wavell is a good one.

As you could tell I enjoy a cigar or two. Before you go, I'd have a look around Cigar Aficionado for some suggestions, and have a look in the magazine when you're over there as they always have tastings or current cigars in the back.

It is times like this that I wish I had not given up the cigarettes as I used to enjoy a lovely cigar.

Enjoyed watching the video link on the Casa Magna site :)

I don't smoke cigarettes, just the odd cigar.

It was open when we walked through PI yesterday!

Claire ;)
