Okay..I know this is a really stinky question.. :duck: but is there somewhere on the ship my husband can smoke a cigar?

I absolutely hate them...but I know he's going to bring cigars with him...and I've warned him there will be no smoking on our verandah (or he risks being 'man overboard!) But if there is a particular place that he can smoke them it would make my life much easier -- is there an empty part of a deck somewhere that he can go? ;)

LOTS and I mean LOTS of men did the cigar thing on board. You can buy them at OffBeat, and you can buy Cuban ROLLED ones in Key West, and actual Cubans in Cozumel...and you see men strolling the decks smoking them. I only saw/smelled them outside, I will say that...so they were being very conscientious not to smoke them inside. (Either that or it's a rule I didn't know about *grin*)

My hubby is a cigar smoker, too! I read somewhere that cigar smoking is limited to the ESPN club or verandahs only. Cigarettes can be smoked on any open deck or the lounges.

I'm not happy to hear LOTS of men are smoking cigars on the ship. I personally can't stand the smell (my husband only smokes them outside! LOL!) But thanks for the info..it'll make him happy. I'm assuming there's no smoking anywhere inside, is that right? Do the restaurants have smoking sections??

No smoking in any restaurants (yea!) but you can smoke in the clubs. I didn't find it too smoky in the clubs but I wasn't there late at night.

Great!! Thanks. :wave2:

On the 7 night they actually have a cigar and Cognac night
was at the adult pool ....

The clubs don't get smoky till after 9 p.m. because smoking is banned till then. After 9 p.m., I can only handle Wavebands for about an hour before it overwhelms me. There are no-smoking sections, but one is literally directly in front of smoking tables so the table right behind you can be lighting up.
As for cigars, I see most of them being smoked on decks 9 and 10, although you can do it on deck 4 too. They are not allowed in the clubs, except for ESPN. If you really want to banish your hubby with his cigar somewhere very secluded, look for the door all the way aft on eck 8 that leads to a little outer area.

Believe me when I say that the winds are so ... umm, CLEANSING, yes that is the word, that you dont' get overwhelmed with the smell. And if you want to see funny, watch the people who do smoke try to light the cigars in that wind...you'll see them huddled against a corner trying to get it to light as the wind works against them! *grin*

Smoking is allowed prior to 9pm in Diversions on the Magic. It's also allowed at all times at ESPN and this is the only indoor place that cigar smoking is allowed. Smoking is only allowed up at the bar at all times however. Smoking is also allowed at all times in Cadillac lounge and what ever it's counterpart is on the Magic, again, at the bar and at a few tables towards the front. It seems the only club that it's not allowed in is Rocin D Bar until 9pm.
Your husband can enjoy his cigar outside on the decks everywhere that cigerrette smoking is allowed. You will find men enjoying their cigars up by the adult pool at all times of the day and night and they do indeed have a cigar and cognac night on the 7 night cruises.

Keep in mind, that not all cigars smell. Some of them are quite nice. Hubby enjoyed his on our verandah..when cabin mates on either side of us were not in.
