The narrow streets are beautiful, even though the square itself failed to impress me.

The vineyard is small but very nice.

I was pretty far behind but got caught up now. Love all the pictures! The last couple posts some don't show up buy I assume it is an issue with the new board format.

Glad you caught up. I would say it is because of the new board being others show up. Hopefully it fixes itself.
I can't wait to do the coast 2 coast. I can book in 24 days and then after that it is a matter of a month to do adr's.

yes but it is not for a long amount of time and I spend most of the time in one spot.

Thank you. Not sure. We did see lemon trees so I think that was probably it.

That church was really gorgeous . I loved the ornate details of the outside. The art on the floor was just amazing. Makes you not want to walk on it. They must have had it roped off.

The other details were beautiful as well. Nice pipe organ. Sorry you had such a difficult time finding a potty!

Day 6.6


After a bus ride we were at the farmhouse/vineyard and ready for lunch and a potty. Both would have to wait though. before we had lunch we got a tour of the area the wine was made in. Let’s see the machines shall we.

Then we were led into another room.

Then we went back into the other room and then went outside. It is a small operation but was interesting to see how it was made. Here is a look at the vineyard area.

We have grapes.

I took a selfie with the grapes.

I got a pic of Jeff with them too.

Barbara and Lorraine did not come down by the vines because it was a hike down so they listened to the guide in their ears from atop of the hill. Here is looking straight down a row.

Then we were guided into a barn which had cows. Not sure why but some of them were chained up. I did not like that part but most were walking around without them.

See some were not punished and were walking around.

Then we were walking to the building where lunch will be.

Then we walked by the potty but we had to go to the table.

This is where lunch would be held. It was a gorgeous view.

Closer look at our view.

I put my stuff down and I RAN to the bathroom. Jeff went to and we found out the mends room was not flushing. I did not care I HAD to go. Then I went back to the table and to start off we had.

Then turned to my left as I sat there and saw this.

San Gimignano.

Our main course was pasta which I did not take a photo of but have one of Vinny eating his.

There were cows roaming the hills.

I do not like red wine and will only drink white but I tried this wine and it was so good. We ended up buying a bottle and I drank most.

Selfie alert. Looks like were having dessert.

here was the seating area for lunch.

They had a store. I guess this is when I bought the bottle.

They had a fruit tree but not sure what kind.

And then it was time to get on the bus.

We visit the Manhattan of Italy.

Great pictures of where they make the win and the vineyards, Scott. If they were milking cows, my guess is they keep them chained up if they just came in until it is time to milk them. Most zoos you will see them chained in their stall if they are not outside roaming.

What a spectacular view from your table at lunch. My mouth just dropped open as it was stunning.

Lunch looks good too.

I'm guessing pomegranate for the fruit on the tree... Your view at lunch was breath-taking -- just beautiful! I could just sit there looking at that for hours... Much more pretty than the snow and slush we have now....
