Hi everyone. I am participating in a church garage sale this weekend and hope to cash in $$$$$! 10% of the proceeds go to the church and we keep the rest. I have a really weird grouping of stuff, but nevertheless, I think a good variety.

Have any of you ever sold old cooking magazines? In the last one I did, people asked for them and I had a bunch but didn't know they would sell. Most are Paul Deen and Family Circle from 2008/2009. My thoughts are 50 cents a piece.

I also have two Build a Bears that only stayed on my DD's shelf and were never played with. They don't have clothes but do have the original BAB tags. Any thoughts on what I should sell them for?

I am also selling some of my Snow Village houses, as Ebay wasn't profitable at all and I'm in hopes that by bringing a few of them, they will sell. I know only certain people will buy them, but I plan to sell them for about $25 a piece.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - Di :)

I buy magazines/cooking magazines at yard sales, but only pay 25cents apiece. If I see someone who has marked them at 50cents each, I don't purchase, as I know I'll see them for 25cents later on.

For Build-a-Bears, I'd pay $2.00 each if my DD were still little and wanted one. I do tend to see those at yard sales every weekend now.

Good luck! At my last yard sale, I made about $550.00...which was my lowest amount ever. I usually make about $900.00, but I had two this year, so I guess that's why.

With the cooking magazines - what about pricing them like $0.50 each, or 3/$1.00.

can't help out with any ideas for the BAB's. You would have to pay me to take a BAB off your hands...I do not need more stuffed animals in my house.

I always price my cooking magazines at 5/$1 and they are usually gone.

Good luck on your sale!

I go to yard sales often. This is what I usually see...

Old magazines 10-25 cents each

BAB $1 at most, $2 at most with clothes

Sorry, I never heard of the last thing.

I have my DD Disney Princess TV that I want to sell.....but you could only play videos on it unless you bought a conversion box for it. How much should I charge for it???

I don't pay more than $1 for new cooking magazines (usually $10 for a year). Stuffed animals are really, really hard to sell - I tried to give them away at my last sale, and couldn't.

The Dept 56 should go at 25.00 each depending on the items.

Depending on the pieces you could get more for them - I would check Ebay on those before you decide.
