Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

March looks good!

Oooh, I've heard so many good things about Coral Reef.

Are you thinking of doing the clambake? I've heard lots of great things about that place too.

Akershus on a birthday night, NIIIICE!! That's such a great way to spend her birthday since she's really into it.

Beautiful picture from the wedding! Hope the weather was decent for you. We go in about 3 weeks. Did you save any tequila for me???

Sounds like you have some great plans in place for the trip with your sisters! The schedule definitely doesn't look too punishing!

You can't go wrong with Le Cellier, Cape May, Coral Reef or Teppan Edo!
We loved the Cape May on our trip in July. Le Cellier is one of our favorites. We skipped Coral Reef this year- we usually enjoy it but the service can be really s-l-o-w! It is cool dining with sharks and rays. I don't know if they still have the Macadamia Crusted Halibut with Pineapple Butter Jasmine Rice, but let's just say I'm drooling right now!

I have some pictures in my trip report from the Cape May Dinner: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39233880&postcount=370

Are your sisters willing to check out menus to see what they may prefer?

Hi there!

I have just read your entire trip report last night and this morning - it's fabulous! Awesome pictures, too!

I also had to post because I'll be checking in at Disney March 26 as well! Only for 3 nights though, although I'm working on a 4th night. We will be neighbors, over at POR. I have a pre-tr going on right now as well!

I love your March itinerary!

FYI - you might want to remove your confirmation number for your Tusker House ADR.....I don't know how easily someone could mess with your ressie by having the number, but I'd rather be safe than sorry lol

I would definitely keep your ADR at Coral Reef. If you're already pretty sure they that they would like Teppan Edo, than make them do something out of the ordinary! Where else can you eat in an aquarium?!

And make sure you show them your pics from your September trip where you guys were meeting characters (if they haven't seen them already)! You could even browse other TRs for pics of adults with characters so that they see it's not "weird!" I'm dying to try Akershus...I think I may book it for our Grand Gathering trip we're planning for 2012....

Thanks for letting me know I still had my number on it! I removed it now!
I don't think I can show pictures to my sisters, I think they would freak out more. I think we should just treat it just like any other meal out, then they will probably not think its so "weird" LOL :rotfl:

I'm finally caught up on your TR!!!!!!!!!

Aww, I really wanted to do the Sum of all Thrills, but we just didn't have time! And that put yourself in a video game thing sounds so cool! I just told The Boyfriend all about it! We'll have to check it out next time we're there!

I'm so jealous that you're going again in March!!! I'm itching to plan another trip!!!!

Next time you go you can try it out! Innovations is fun!!

Your plan looks great. Your park hoping doesn't look like you will be bouncing too much. :thumbsup2 I hope your sisters like the characters...I really do like dinning with the princesses, but we didn't do that in September. Going with they guys, I doubt they will want to. :sad2: And...as far as Coral Reef vs. Teppan Edo... My vote is for Coral Reef. :thumbsup2

Yay! I think I am keeping Coral Reef. I missed it the last time, and the last time I ate there was about 8 years ago I think. Lot's to catch up on!
Hope your DD's wedding planning is coming along well. Is she more excited about the disneymoon? Hee hee. But at least now you get to go during the Holidays this year!! I'm so jealous! You'll do all the fun holiday stuff!

I just went onto FB and looked at the pics from the wedding! BEAUTIFUL!! And I liked your page so I can stalk your pics lol

Thanks!! Glad to have you on board!

Akershus on a birthday night, NIIIICE!! That's such a great way to spend her birthday since she's really into it.

I think I would really like to try out the clam bake too. I keep seeing yummy pictures from the night. I think we can probably do it on our last day.

We may or may not have drank Cancun dry...lol. No I am not a tequila drinker so I only had 1 shot...or maybe 2. LOL :rotfl:

I loved your pics of cape may and I think we are definitely going to at some point because a lot of our schedule is prety open at this point. Thanks again for the review!

Oh wow! Cool neighbors!! how fun! Thank you!! I'll go check out your PTR too.

We're going to be much closer neighbors now. I changed my ressies to POFQ. After reading way too many trip reports spreading the love of the resort, I just couldn't stand it, so I switched us over. We're POFQ virgins! We've also added a night. March 26-30, 4 nts total. :woohoo:

Looking forward to your next update! :cutie:

Your plans look great. I think you found a good balance with the park hopping and the dining. Evening EMHs at MK are wonderful! I'm a huge fan. I couldn't believe the way we were able to just walk on rides. Granted, you have to stay up late for it, but its totally worth, IMO.

The wedding planning is going ok. There are days I think "wow, this is happening smoothly" and then others that I question we will actually pull it off.

As far as the holidays...I am super excited. Looks like I will have to change some of our plans...but we are still going to WDW and that is what matters most. (I could take or leave the beach) I can't believe that I booked a month ago... I know this year is going to fly by.
tures from the night. I think we can probably do it on our last day.

Oooh beautiful pic from the wedding. I love Cancun.

Your March itinerary looks great! I think you will be fine with Le Cellier. I don't like steak either but they have other options that are good. I had a chicken sandwich when we went there for lunch in Novemeber and it was delicious.

I think you did a great job planning your March trip. I just hope it never gets here as that will mean DH and I will be back from our early March trip:lmao:

Enjoying your report!

Woohoo! How exciting! I'm really keen to see how the renovations look. It was definitely showing wear in September so I think the new furnishings would be a nice plus to an already great resort!

Oh cool! I'm looking forward to EMH at MK, my only thought is that we'll be spending most of the day at MK anyways...do we really need to do EMH? I figure we could go back to the resort for a while and swim and rest before going to oHana and then back to MK that night. I think that will break up the monotony of the day. :goodvibes

How exciting for Kira to be married. I'm sure the wedding will be beautiful no matter what. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the big day!
Isn't it the best feeling to know that you're going to Disney again? It just gives us something to look forward to!!!

Yay that's good to know that there are other options besides steak. I think that my sisters will like all the other food there, the bread basket is to die for, and of course I will have to introduce them to cheddar cheese soup!

I think you did a great job planning your March trip. I just hope it never gets here as that will mean DH and I will be back from our early March trip:lmao:

Thanks!! I'll try to prolong the planning so it would seem your trip won't be over...hehehe :rotfl:

Beautiful picture of the bride & groom on the beach!

Everything looks great on your March plans. You & sisters are going to have so much fun! That's too funny that they were imagining sitting at a table with Princess's eating! :rotfl:

Great March itinerary. I can't wait to hear what you think of POFQ. We just moved our resort ressie there for September.

Love the wedding picture. It's beautiful.:thumbsup2

Day 5 Part 4: Our last night in Epcot

Our day was winding down…but not before grabbing our Free Disney picture photo opp. We waited for about 10 minutes, not too bad.
I’m not too much of a fan of this one. Felt like we have had better pictures.

5040081591_e43e637256_b.jpg

Then we set off across WS doing the Kim Possible missions for several hours, we actually got kinda hungry again…kinda, but not really. Our Le Cellier lunch really filled us up. We still had a few CS credits to use up, so we decided to grabs some meals at Yakitori House.

Combimation of teriyaki chicken, sukiyaki beef and tempura over rice

Ginger Cake with iced green tea - YUM

And while looking for some prime viewing spots for illuminations, we stopped to get some school bread from Norway, even though we weren’t hungry…I had them wrapped in boxes so we can take them back to our room and eat them there.

I also tried the item which is kind of like apple sauce layered with whipped cream. Seem kind of unusual so I thought I’d try it. It wasn’t bad. I liked that it wasn’t too sweet, but yes is lacking in some interesting texture, it’s just like….applesauce and whipped cream. LOL

So after walking for a while we came back around to where WS meets Future world. I wanted to go into the gift shops there, so when we walked inside, I saw a bag I wanted. It’s just a simple canvas tote bag with orange details. It has walt disney world embroidered on it and also an outside pocket. I could easily see that being my next park/beach bag, but unfortunately it was a purchase with purchase, I’d have to find 25 bucks worth of things and then get the bag for an additional 10. Hmmm.

As I contemplated my decision, I looked outside and Illuminations was just about to begin. What I didn’t realize was that on the other side of the store, the part which faces the lake, there is plenty of people watching the view from there. I looked outside and find DH who already has a spot. He tells me to just go find something so I could get the bag because otherwise that would all I would be talking about the next day, So I am back in the store and I hurriedly picked out 2 cups as gifts for my friends kids, a toy story one and a princess one. I had to add in some cookies too to make it 25 (I hoped, I was too lazy to count). As the cashier rang me up, I still realized I was under by only a few bucks, but the lady was nice enough and she gave it to me even if I didn’ make the quota. Yay. Wish all CMs were this nice!

Now I went back out and I will leave you with the view of Illuminations:

All taken with my point and shoot

After our last Illuminations of our trip, sniff sniff, we headed back to POFQ to get some sleep for our last day…at MK!!!

Stay tuned!

For a point and shoot camera, you certainly did a good job on the fireworks. I also think that the photo of you and Mickey & Pals looks really nice, everyone looks so happy! but I guess that is inevitable when 3 of the people in the photo have faces that are frozen in place :lmao:.

So sad that your trip is nearly over, but on the bright side you have your March trip to look forward to :woohoo:.

I am getting so excited for our trip in September, even if it is still 6 months away. You are so lucky to go so often. Can't wait to hear about your last day!

Will we see the bag you scored? Or do we have to wait until your girls trip to see it in action?

What did you think of the schoolbread? I had it on our 2008 trip, love coconut, love cream, but was underwhelmed by the schoolbread. Too sweet and doughy. Dole Whips, however, live up to the hype!

So glad you ended up getting the bag! So often I regret not making a purchase when I'm at Disney... glad you decided to! :goodvibes

Beautiful pictures of Illuminations... I wish I was there now!!! :cloud9:

Thanks!
LOL Yes it's too funny how mortified they were at the initial thought of eating with the princesses. I should have just played a long with it and told them we are eating family-style, and that the princesses have to get the most food because, well, they are princesses afterall. :rotfl:

Great March itinerary. I can't wait to hear what you think of POFQ. We just moved our resort ressie there for September.

Love the wedding picture. It's beautiful.:thumbsup2

Thanks! Yay for moving your ressie over to POFQ! I'm excited to see how the renovations are. From the pictures I've seen online, they look nice, and definitely an upgrade from the rooms before...

I'm just excited to eat beignets again!:lmao:

Thanks! The view from where we stood was great! We were so close to the fireworks that sometimes I thought they would hit us. It's definitely a spot to return to next time!

I wish I get to go often. Sometimes I get to go every year, and then other times, it'll be about 3 years before we go again. I hope I don't have to wait that long for our next trip but so far I dont' have any other trips planned other than March.

LOL, yes you will get to see it in the next installment of the trip report. I think I will most definitely bring it with me in March too!

The school bread is like a cream puff on steriods. I think it sounds and looks better than it tastes. I agree it is too sweet, but regardless I do like it because it's something I can only get at Disney. :cutie:

So glad you ended up getting the bag! So often I regret not making a purchase when I'm at Disney... glad you decided to! :goodvibes

Beautiful pictures of Illuminations... I wish I was there now!!! :cloud9:

Yup I am glad I did too. You get to see the bag in my next installment of the trip report (our last day, sniff sniff)

Thanks!!

Very cool that you got the bag. I too want to see it :goodvibes (I always love when you include beautiful pics)

Speaking of the beautiful pics.... illuminations was great!

Thanks! I was surprised they came out that will with a point and shoot too. I think it helped that we were so close to the fireworks so that you can see a lot of detail. I wish I had my DSLR at that moment, but alas I did not bring it out that day.

wonderful trip report! Your photos are gorgeous!

Thank you and welcome!
