Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

In February, we actually bought one. It took a knife to cut it up. The edge pieces tasted a bit like plastic though...the inside was pretty good.

You had to eat it all up at once right? Didn't it get really sticky?

You had to eat it all up at once right? Didn't it get really sticky?

We actually brought it home and once there began to cut it up. The outside is a hard plastic shell that acts like a container. We have essentially 7 people here, so it didn't last too long. Anytime someone wanted some, they just sliced off a piece. It never got all that sticky since it was in its container when not being eaten.

Thank you!! Hahaha, it sounds like a good business plan. Maybe when Tankgirl wins the lottery we can all go to WDW and have a fantastic portrait session. I'll get a tripod and set it up with a remote shutter so I can be in the pics too.

That sounds like a plan!!!!

I've stayed up too late getting all caught up on your TR. Your pictures truely are fabulous :thumbsup2 I can't get over how clear your night pictures are of Illuminations or even the earlier ones you posted from Sci-Fi, wow, bravo!

I am very envious of how small the crowds appear in your park pictures. Due to having a school age child, we're stuck going in the summer when not only is it hot, but crowded. After Labor day (or a hurricane :lmao: ) seems like the time to go :rotfl:

:stitch: Aloha from Hawaii! I hope you have a fabulous time when you visit in November! You & your hubby could totally pass for locals, I'm just sayin'....;)

I LOVE your TR! :lovestruc I'm looking forward to more of your updates! Makes me super excited for our trip in January!

P.S. I also LOVE your Alice necklace & Minnie inspired top :lovestruc

I can't wait until I get to eat Tonga toast. I think I can eat 2 :thumbsup2 and I am not a bread person.

I don't believe I ever ride M:S green. Orange is the only one I ever ride. The green side will probably feels like kiddie ride to me. :rotfl2:

O'hana is my second most favorite place right under Artist Point. I can eat their shrimp until it comes out of my ears. :rotfl: I still remember their bread pudding alamo. Ummmm... I love noodles too. I love the Wonton Garden noodle shop at Mott street Chinatown. They've been there for 30+ years. I remember I used to deliver stuff to them when I was a teenager. At Chatham Sq, there used to be a Shanghai noodle shop called 456. Their Shanghai noodle was the best in the city. And their fried dumplings, I can eat a dozen every visit.

Not sure I would like to try Biegarten. Not a beer drinker and not a potato kind of person. Although I do like their setup, it's almost like going to Sunday morning dim sum in Chinatown. But meatloaf taste like spam, that's intriguing. I love spam. I made spam fried rice all the time. I can't get enough. DW thought it was gross.

Those large gummy bear looks interesting too. I think I might like to try one. There is this local candy maker not far from where I live. They make the best chocolate cover gummy bear.

Haha, if you like spam then you'll like this meatloaf. It didn't taste exactly like spam but it was of the same color and texture I though, although spam really has it's own flavor. Have you been to Hawaii? There is spam everywhere.

I know Wonton Garden too. We used to go there a lot when I was younger. I love Chinatown. Cheap and tasty food in NYC. Hard to beat! Although I do not like the crowds.

I am not a big gummy bear person but I thought the giant ones were intruiguing.

Totally serious! My DH said that Ben successfully utilized the barf bag in the command module. So he did it "cleanly" if that was possible. He really was smiling when he came out and the incident did not keep him down. But I think that was his last go on M:S, either color, for the rest of the trip.

Wow, he used the barf bag! I guess it really isn't just for "show". LOL. But that's funny that he looked so proud of himself after. :rotfl:

I bought one of those giant gummy bears at World Market. I thought it was a case where bigger is not always better. Yuck. Mine tasted awful and I threw it out. I think I will stick to the smaller guys from now on. Although, I prefer Swedish Fish to any bear out there.

Still enjoying your TR! :goodvibes

Thank you! I can see how that can be the case of bigger is not always better. It looks strangely grotesque. Like a mutant gummi bear.

We actually brought it home and once there began to cut it up. The outside is a hard plastic shell that acts like a container. We have essentially 7 people here, so it didn't last too long. Anytime someone wanted some, they just sliced off a piece. It never got all that sticky since it was in its container when not being eaten.

That sounds like a good way to eat the giant gummy bear if I ever get one!

That sounds like a plan!!!!

Yup, only one thing left to do now...win the lottery! LOL

Thank you so much! I'm glad you have joined in on the TR!! I think we may look into going to WDW during non-summer months, due to the fact it is just so HOT!! But honestly I will go any time!

Aloha! And Mahalo!! We love Hawaii! You are so lucky to live there! It's funny, when I am there, people do think that I am local, more so than DH. They speak to me in pidgeon. LOL. They think I married a mainlander. :rotfl:
I'm glad my TR is making you excited for your trip!! I am excited about our trip to Hawaii in Nov!! Woohoo!

Your pics are great!! I would like to try those gummy bears, don't care they are 2000 calories hahaha:lmao:

Day 4 Part 1: The mad TSM rush

We woke up this am with one thing in mind, we were going to ride TSM as many times as possible within the first half of the day! So our plan was to make it to rope drop at DHS, and then head over to AK in the afternoon, with dinner ressies at Boma at AKL in the evening.

Today was a nice break for me, I did NOT bring my dslr out at all. I decided that I needed to save my neck and shoulders a bit so I would only use my point and shoot today. So all the pictures that were taken here were taken with our trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1. Plus, since we were headed to AK, and KRR is my favorite ride there, I thought I wouldn’t risk having anything that isn’t supposed to get wet, get wet. LOL.

So we make it to DHS in time for rope drop

5040056913_a80b513654_b.jpg

The crowds were not too bad, and of course the minute the park opens, we follow everyone towards the mad dash towards Pixar Studios. Gosh, it's a good thing I didn't have my dslr as that ALWAYS slows me down.

5040677714_cfabfc489c_b.jpg

We got there in good time, DH ran ahead of me since he walks faster, and grabbed some Fps.
We then went to wait for the Toy Story character meet n greet. Here’s us having some fun while waiting in line.

5040679394_f1e72b55f7_z.jpg

After about 15 minutes, we meet Buzz and Woody! I love them!

5040059157_dfb5be3192_b.jpg

We then decided to get some breakfast. We headed over to Fairfax Fare and grabbed a breakfast sandwich, juice and coffee, which they gladly made into an iced coffee for me. DH and I shared the sandwich because I wasn’t that hungry. (Still full from Biergarten, *burp* LOL). Good thing we did because this sandwich was hefty! Check out the TWO sausage patties in the bagel, plus egg and cheese!

5040679982_abb2578e9c_o.jpg

Then it was time for our next favorite ride, RnRC!

5040059673_41bcc0c45c_b.jpg

We then went to use our Fps for TSM, but during this run, our car was faulty! Our guns didn’t work, and we couldn’t shoot anything! Argh. So when we came around, the CM let us go back on another round. This time, we did a bit better. Upon exiting the ride, we picked up another FP for later.

5040057763_fcf6d0be90.jpg

Sorry we look so….blue. Guess it’s the weird lighting.

5040058107_1cec1f8aaa_b.jpg

Our scores at the end. I was Player 2. Boo

5040058269_55b3a39d6e_b.jpg

We then went and did the Narnia thing. I remember doing this for the first movie, but this was the first time we did it for the 2nd movie. It was getting really really hot by now, so this was a nice respite from the heat.

I decided at that point, that I WAS actually hungry, but it was mainly because I didn’t want to leave DHS without eating at my favorite QS place, Toy Story Pizza Planet. So we head over there, and I take this picture of DH at the Singin’ in the Rain lantern.

5040680750_111bb5c39c_z.jpg

Also got a pic of Mama Melrose. We didn’t eat there, but one day I will!

5040681614_331131cb40_z.jpg

At TSPP, we decided to share the Pepperoni pizza meal, with a rice krispie treat as dessert.

5040061551_2c41aae670_o.jpg

5040061761_d7f8a215ae_b.jpg

I have always liked the pizza here, and I am fairly pick about pizza. Yeah, I’m an NYC girl, and pizza is like currency to us. LOL. But I thought the pizza here was nice and savory and seasoned well, with a nice CRISP crust. I am the odd person in that I actually love pizza crust, and eat all of my pizza including the crust, so having the right texture of crust is important to me.

We passed by Muppet Vision so we decide to do that. We also walked into the store near the Muppet Vision and I tried on these sparkly Minnie ears. Cute right?

5040682428_b1401c9a1b_z.jpg

We head back to TSM and use our Fps. This time our ride worked well, and DH was super excited to get Best in Vehicle and Best This Hour.

5040062321_43ae1a7924_o.jpg

By this time, it was almost 1:30pm! We had to get over to AK before it closed (at 5pm) so we headed out of the park and caught the bus over to AK….

We managed to catch a bit of the HSM show as we walked past the hat...

5040683048_6682092da0_o.jpg

BUT, before I board the bus, I head over to the store on Sunset Blvd where I saw the dresses on sale, and I bought 2 dresses!! They came out to about 22 bucks each. Steal! I had them delivered to POFQ. Also, in order to get the 10% discount for the Disney Visa, I had to get something small to make it to 50 bucks, so I added a cute Mickey clip-on keychain.

5053039506_a423250d30_z.jpg

The dress I got is the one in the front, which is the blue and green sundress with the hidden Mickey Heads, as well as the long purple one on the left with the hidden Tinkerbell print. I love them both and they actually fit really well. The odd thing is that I got the long dress in a size S, but the shorter dress, they only had L available but it fit perfectly. Guess the sizing is not consistent!

Coming up…what in the world do I do at AK??

Yay for more pictures. Even your point and shoot pictures are pretty fantastic. I have to say that after replacing two cameras in less than two years, I went with a super cheap ($99) replacement and its not anywhere near as good as my Cannon point and shoot was. Oh well.

So jealous that you got to ride TSM that many times. Believe it or not, my husband and I only found it the last day we were there and weren't even that into, because we hadn't seen any of the TS movies yet. How a year can change things...its one of Max's favorites now. I don't know what's so amazing about that ride, but... its just something.

The local amusement park has a similar ride and even though its nothing near as incredible as Disney, its still pretty fun!

Glad to hear you liked Pizza Planet! I keep hearing good reviews about it and want to try it out. I LOVEEE eating pizza crust. :thumbsup2 i like mine crispy around the edges and soft on the inside. Mmm! What's your favorite pizza spot in the city?

Great pics of Illuminations! The best spot I've found to watch from is Canada, surprisingly. We had a perfect view from there.

Glad you enjoyed Biergarten! We're headed there for the first time on this upcoming trip and we're really looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

I didn't know that Fairfax Fare had breakfast sandwiches...we are also planning on a mad rush to TSMM for FPs on our DHS days...now I know that we can plan to eat in the park instead of at the resort. Thanks!

I have not tried the pizza there. I am picky about crust too. If the crust of the pizza isn't good then I won't like the pizza. Good to know that the pizza there is worth trying. :goodvibes

Those dresses are super cute! I bet in that heat they would be nice too.

I agree with Su-Lynn! Pizza Planet is one of our favorite QS places in WDW! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to be eating lunch there instead of Wendy's!

Great DHS update! Your pictures are so pretty, even with your point and shoot! :cool1:

That's so weird that your TSM gun didn't work but at least they let you go on again!

I've never been to Pizza Planet...I don't even know where it is in DHS, actually! I'll have to try it in November, I hear a lot about it!

Those dresses you bought are really cute! :) Oh and I have those silver Minnie ears, I LOVE them! :lovestruc

It's across from MuppetVision :thumbsup2

I have been looking forward to catching up on your TR all week! :goodvibes

Hmm...the Tonga Toast diet sounds like my kind of diet... :rolleyes1

Ugh, those giant gummy bears are nauseating to me! We went to the fair this weekend and they were selling them there. They look horrible! They had big gummy brains and rats too, which I just don't find appetizing! I feel like my teeth would rot right out of my head if I took a bite!

I LOVE those dresses you got! :lovestruc And they were such a great deal! That's awesome!

Yes, I agree canon makes the best point and shoots. I did a family shoot over the weekend for a few friends and some of them brought their canon powershots and their pictures look pretty darn good. I don't really think they needed me to take pictures! I'd invest in a nice point and shoot, as pictures are soooo important to me! Canon, Nikon and Panasonic make the best I think. Also Leica, but those are pretty pricey.

I think TSM brings out everyone's competitive spirit. And it's much easier than Buzz Lightyear over at MK. It's just so much fun! We love it.

Is Day 4 Labor Day? We left AK around 3pm.

Yes this was on Monday. Darn, we kept missing each other!!

Glad to hear you liked Pizza Planet! I keep hearing good reviews about it and want to try it out. I LOVEEE eating pizza crust. :thumbsup2 i like mine crispy around the edges and soft on the inside. Mmm! What's your favorite pizza spot in the city?

It's really quite good for a QS place. And it's cute inside, with video games and stuff, like an arcade. Hmm, my favorite pizza place? Tough decision. I am a fan of "NY Style" pizza, not any of those fancy italian-inspired stuff like Grimaldis or Lombardis. I like basic NY-style pizza but done well. I'd have to say my fave at the moment is Rigoletto which is on Columbus Ave around 69th street on the Upper West side. It's really good. And, for the non-traditionalist, they have these toppings which you can put on it, like this really spicy red peper sauce, and an out of this world chimmichurri. I've never had it on pizza before but now I'm hooked. But their pizza is also excellent without anything on it. :)

Great pics of Illuminations! The best spot I've found to watch from is Canada, surprisingly. We had a perfect view from there.

Good to know about the Cananda spot. One of the best spots to watch is actually from behind the stores which are right at the intersection of WS and FW. We stumbled upon it later on, and we have some great pics of it too.

Yay! Hope you have fun at Biergarten too!!

Yup it's one of the few places in DHS that serves breakfast! They should really have more choices cosidering is such a popular park in the morning just because of TSM, LOL.

Yes if you like crust, then you'll like the pizza there, it was crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. And it had flavor too, it wasn't just "dough". :)

I am saving those dresses for our next vacay in Hawaii! It would be perfect for our trip there. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to wear it at WDW and it's too cold here in NYC now to wear them! But now I have some new clothes to wear on vacay which is just as exciting as the trip itself. :lmao:

I agree with Su-Lynn! Pizza Planet is one of our favorite QS places in WDW! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to be eating lunch there instead of Wendy's!

Pizza Planet = Yum. And I usually don't like fast food type pizza. But I'd take PP in a heartbeat!

Great DHS update! Your pictures are so pretty, even with your point and shoot! :cool1:

Thank you!

Yup the guns didn't work...and it wasn't the first time either...you'll see.

As Simba22 said, it's right by Muppet Vision! It does seem to be a bit hidden from everything else. ;)

Thanks! I love the dresses. And that's cool you have the Minnie ears! I'd get them but I am actually very sensitive to things on my head, like headbands and stuff, it gives me headaches. But if it didn't I'd totally get them!

I have been looking forward to catching up on your TR all week! :goodvibes

Yay! Good to see you here Joni! I have to catch up on your PTR as well. Your trip is coming up in a few months too!! :cutie:

I'd totally live on Tonga Toast and pretty much all carbs if they weren't so bad for you. I love bread and anything doughy.

Yes, I am strangely facinated yet repulsed at the same time of those giant gummi bears. I think I have actually seen bigger ones too.

The last two cameras I bought were Canon! The Powershot S2 IS was the first real camera I ever bought for myself and I was in love with it. Then the cat knocked it off the top of the refrigerator and it broke. I was so upset! I replaced it with the Canon Powershot SX10 and even though I love it (and it does a lot of things better than the S2 did), I still miss the old one sometimes! One of these days I will upgrade to a DSLR just so I can play around with different lenses, but for now, my Powershot is perfect! :thumbsup2

There is a pizza place that we go to every time we're in NYC and I have no idea what the name of it is. It's right across from the Nintendo Store in Rockefeller Plaza and I LOVE their pizza.

Good to know about the Canada spot. One of the best spots to watch is actually from behind the stores which are right at the intersection of WS and FW. We stumbled upon it later on, and we have some great pics of it too.

Yeah we have tried to get a spot at the entrance to WS but it's always packed early. I guess people think that they can make it out of the park faster right after the show if they stand there.

Yay! Hope you have fun at Biergarten too!!

We're really excited about this ADR! We kept going back and forth on our Epcot ADRs because there are so many things at the F & W Festival that we want to try! But we decided to stick with the plan and let the food fall where it may!

Yup it's one of the few places in DHS that serves breakfast! They should really have more choices cosidering is such a popular park in the morning just because of TSM, LOL.

ITA! We used to try and eat breakfast at Starring Rolls but everytime we try the shelves are literally BARE! I'll definitely try Fairfax this year though!

Pizza Planet = Yum. And I usually don't like fast food type pizza. But I'd take PP in a heartbeat!

Agree on all points! :thumbsup2

I'd totally live on Tonga Toast and pretty much all carbs if they weren't so bad for you. I love bread and anything doughy.

Yeah, garlic bread is my guilty pleasure! I would eat a whole loaf of garlic bread by myself if I could!

Are you serious? I'm obsessed with MuppetVision, I see it every time I go to WDW, how could I have missed Pizza Planet this whole time? :confused3 :rotfl:

If you're standing facing the entrance to MuppetVision, turn to your left almost a full 180° and it will be pretty much right across the street. There are big Toy Story characters on the roof.
