Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

I've only been to TSPP once and unfortunately don't remember much about it. We had just gotten in DHS for the first time and was hungry, so ate at the first place we came across. I remember really liking it though. Just not sure WHAT I liked about it.....

Those dresses look so cute! I love Tink. I don't remember seeing them though....hm....

Yay for HSM3! I was resting for a bit when that show came on. I just love the songs from that movie. And I love their outfits too! Really makes me want to dress up like it.

Great update at HS!

I agree with everyone that your point and shoot pictures are gorgeous, too! I think there is a talent to taking amazing pictures, kind of like there is in playing the guitar. No matter how good the equipment is, some people are just take more interesting pictures or sound better than others.

I've never used a DSLR, but I am really liking my Canon D10 point and shoot. Looking forward to taking it to Washington DC in a couple of days. I also love that it is waterproof so it can go everywhere with me!

Where is the Buzz and Woody meet & greet? The props for posing there are SOOOOOO cute. I have never seen this place before.

You got such cute pictures before your character meet and greet! :rotfl: I've never been to TSPP before, I waited in line there once but the line didn't budge for 15 minutes so I bailed and went elsewhere instead. LOVE your dresses, they are SUPER cute!!! :goodvibes

Wow!! I'm caught up?! Really??! I'm semi-new to these boards, but use other (gasp) disney boards as well. Yours is by far the most enjoyable and detailed trip report i've read!! Keep going!! We're all loving it. By the way your pic of the "Mickey balloons" at MK with the sky in the background is awesome. Would you mind if I used it as my new desktop?

I have never seen any of the HSM movies if you can believe it. But I know who all the actors are, since they are all so popular now. I should probably watch them some day. I like teeny bopper movies. And teeny bopper movies with singing sounds ever better! :woohoo:

Thank you! I also think that taking LOTS of pictures help as well. It gives you options to weed out anything that doesn't look good. Digital is so much fun in that sense.

Hope you have fun in DC! I spent a few days there last year while DH was on a business trip and I visited all the museums and had a great time! I toook a ton of pictures!

The meet in greet is right across from TSM! There is usually a long line, so we don't bother to wait there, but since we were there so early the wait was not that long. Defintely cool to do at least once.

Thanks! yeah the meet in greet was a bunch of photo ops on line too, which made the waiting part actually bearable. LOL. Thanks! Hope you get to try TSPP one day!

Aww thank you! I'm so happy to be of some help. I mainly do the TRs so I can remember exactly what I did. So when I look back 10 years from now, I'll have an online scrapbook of memories. Hopefully the DISboards won't go anywhere anytime soon because then all my memories will be lost! I should probably save my posts in a word doc somewhere...LOL
You are welcome to use my pic as your background! I am so flattered! It is probably not as high res for a desktop though, but if you PM me I can send you the full res file if you like. :)

I definitely recommend the 1st movie. The 2nd one....maybe not....but I think you need to watch it to understand the 3rd one, which is also very good.

Just getting started on your report. Have lots to catch up on. But I had to giggle about you and Earl. We too were havinga concerns about Earl... Just the opposite of you. :)We wanted to get from Florida to NYC. We were suppose to leave on Friday the 3rd and come back Monday the 6th. I called Delta bright and early on the 2nd and low and behold they let us move our flight to Thursday evening at NO charge:banana: So I am sure that we were passing each other in the air. And Earl was no biggie for us while in your great city. Looking forward to more of your report. Hoping I can sneak some reading in at work tomorrow...

I just discovered your TR and am thoroughly enjoying it. You take such great photos. I especially loved your photos of the interior of the Sci-Fi Diner. I've never seen anything like them on the Disboards before - the colors are beautiful!

And your pictures of the POFQ are getting me psyched for my upcoming trip. (I leave a week from tomorrow.)

Look forward to reading about the rest of your trip!

Catching up!

Yummy Biergarten plate! Do you have beets on it?

OH MAN, those gummy bears look so cool! Haha, I do like gummy bears every once in a while although I never actually buy them myself. Haha, that reminds me of the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs because the monkey LOVED gummy bears!

I actually really like your IllumiNations pictures with all the people in it! It's pretty cool to have just their silhouettes.

WHOA, I've never seen a place make a breakfast sammich with 2 sausage patties!

Haha, I like how you said pizza is like currency to NYCers.

Woohoo! You got the dresses! Do you wear them on this trip?

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA this past weekend. Had a super busy jammed packed weekend, and barely any sleep to boot. My weekend started from Thursday night, where I met a friend in trendy new restaurant, Colicchio and Sons (Tom Colicchio of Top Chef fame). Dinner was great, but due to traffic, we didn't get seated until 9:30pm. Yawn. So needless to say I got home really late. The desserts there are quite amazing, btw. We had the best buttermilk ice cream and fig and marscapone tart. Yum.

Friday, went to work, and then after me and DH went to see The Social Network (great movie) before meeting some friends for birthday drinks for a friend's DBF. Needless to say, another late long night, but we totally had a great time.

Saturday, from 9am until 6pm, we were at New York Comic Con!! For those of you who don't know, Comic Con is this big comic book/video game/anime convention. There is the San Diego CC, which is larger and more for the industry, but NYCC is also quite large. They had a ton of vendors this year, including all the big players, Marvel, Capcom, DC Comics, Square Enix, who are makers of my favorite video game series, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts!! (jointly produced with Disney). They had demos of the new Kingdom Hearts Nintendo DSI game. It looked really cool!

Here are a few blackberry pictures:

BTW, DH and I were mostly working at CC. My friend has a booth there selling figurines and toys from Japan, so we helped out on sales, bagging purchases, etc. It was a lot of fun, but very tiring as we were on our feet all day. We definitely got to see a lot of stuff too. We also watched part of the Starcraft II tournament (DH is a fan).

Then on Saturday evening, we watched Game 3 of the ALDS at Yankee Stadium! DH got tickets from his boss, so we had some great seats. The Yankees won, of course, so we were super excited. Yay! We have tickets to game 4 of the ALCS, so depending on if the Yankees sweep the next series or not, we may or may not get to see it.

We had to leave the game before the end, altough it was still very late. I didn't get to bed until past midnight...and I had to get up early because...

Sunday I was shot a wedding for 9 hours! Whew! 10-10-10 was such a popular date for weddings. So many photographers I know had jobs, including me! I shot a beautiful and intimate wedding in Queens Village, with the most amazing couple. It was extremely tiring, but I got to capture some great images from the wedding. Here is a sneak peak of the couple:

Photo taken with a Canon 40d, then uploaded to facebook.

Whew, what a weekend so far, but it doesn't end there. Yesterday (Monday) was thankfully a holiday so I didn't have to go to work (DH did though) but I spent the day running errands, downloading and backing up all the pictures from the wedding, making picture discs for a recent holiday shoot I did for a few friends, and some last minute fall shopping (needed new boots and clothes)

In the evening, we drove over to the meadowlands to watch the Jets vs Vikings game! Now, we got there early because it was our first time to the new stadum, and my FIRST Jets game. Now yesterday's weather in NYC during the day was for the most part beautiful, sunny skies, 68 degrees, nice breezes. But at 7:30pm, the skies had opened up and torrential rain, lighting, thunder, hail and wind totally ransacked the stadium and the surrounding tri-state area!! The rain was so strong, that it blew in through the vents at the top of the stadium so even if you were staying inside out of the seats, you could still get wet! LOL. We managed to find a spot near a concession stand that didn't have any vents. The game didn't start until 9:15, and then midway through that, there was another torrential downpour, and then continued to rain steadily for the rest of the game. It was soo wet. I had a poncho, but DH didn't. He was soaked. My feet and lower pant legs were soaked too. It was NOT a fun walk back to the car. But on a brighter note, the Jets won! But I don't really care either way, I have no allegiances to any team in football. I am more of a baseball fan. Well, maybe a Tom Brady fan too. Although what is up with his hair? Hehe.

Here are some blackberry pics I took:

Sigh, we stayed until the end of the game and by the time we got home was 12:30am. I didn't get to bed until 1:30am, and am now back at work. Yawn. I totally need to catch up on sleep at some point!
I promise to get an update in soon too...coming up is the short time we spent at AK and our dinner at Boma!

That sounds like a busy but fun weekend! My friend went to the Jets game too! His dad has season tickets and he sent me a text saying it was delayed and a picture of the board telling everyone to go inside. Sorry I can't more excited for your baseball game (yankees yuck!) being from Boston. I'm so exhausted today!

Wow! $22 a piece for the dresses? That's a great bargain! I love a good bargain but they seem even better when you find them at Disney.

You had a super busy weekend. I know that my 13 year old son would have enjoyed Comic Con.

The wedding picture was beautiful. I wish you lived closer to Georgia. My daughter is getting married in Georgia, going to Tennessee for one reception and then coming to Louisiana for another reception. Then, they are honeymooning in Disney World. I raised her right!;)

Just caught up on your entire report thus far :rotfl: I was drawn in by the AMAZING pictures you have!! I really need to learn a thing or 2 about cameras, becuase our dinky digital camera takes crappy pics :lmao: and at nighttime, forget about it - its even worse!!

Wow, you DID have a busy weekend!

We went to NY CC two years ago. We didn't make it last year and didn't have the time or money to go this year. It was a LOT of fun, though! Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy my BF's favorite series' too! I'm hoping to be able to go next year. I really want to go to the one in San Diego but it's crazy expensive and it sells out in a matter of hours!

There were a TON of weddings on 10-10-10! The bride's dress is gorgeous! Congrats to them :goodvibes

Glad you had fun at the Yankees game but that sucks about the rain at the Jets game! I'm the opposite, I hate baseball and love football! But you are right, Brady's hair needs to go!

And backtracking just a bit - I haven't seen HSM3 but out of 1 & 2, I actually like 2 better!

Can't wait to hear about Boma!!

What a busy weekend! Looks like you had a lot of fun.

10-10-10...that would be a great wedding day. I should have tried to get dd to consider that day. (we are struggling right now with wedding plans)

CC sounds like fun too!

I guess I am jealous. We did NOTHING but sit around this weekend...well, did a bit of work around the house. But that isnt any fun. :rotfl:

your photos are amazing!!!

Thank you!!

I definitely recommend the 1st movie. The 2nd one....maybe not....but I think you need to watch it to understand the 3rd one, which is also very good.

Hmm, eventually I think I will watch all three, maybe if I actually have some time to watch a movie marathon!

Cool, thanks for visiting my TR! That's great that you were able to chance your flights. Earl was made into a big deal in NYC for nothing...my friends who were in NYC while we were in Orlando said that there was NO activity whatsoever! :sad2:

I just discovered your TR and am thoroughly enjoying it. You take such great photos. I especially loved your photos of the interior of the Sci-Fi Diner. I've never seen anything like them on the Disboards before - the colors are beautiful!

Look forward to reading about the rest of your trip!

Thank you Kate and welcome! That is very sweet of you to say! I am happy to share all my pictures on the boards. I am so jealous you will be going to WDW, esp POFQ. Have a beignet (or 3) for me!

Catching up!

Yup I think I had beets on my plate. I am a big fan of beets but it's actually a recent thing...I used to never care for them, but over the past 2 years have actually grown to really like them.

I loved that movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! I like anything food-related actually. But it was a fun movie.

Yup, you should know that us NYCers take pizza very seriously. In fact, I had it about 4 times last week. I was on a pizza kick (am I ever not? LOL). What is your favorite pizza?

I didn't actually wear the dresses on this trip, but I will see if I can take a picture of me in it at some point. :)

LOL, I should have known you were a Red Sox fan. But it's ok, I actually like the rivalries in baseball. It makes things more competitive and interesting. Can't say the same for the fans though LOL

Yes, it was an insane Jets game. I was so exhausted when I got home. I am still not recovered. LOL

Thank you! Your DD's wedding sounds wonderful. How cool is that she is having 2 receptions and then a Disneymoon?? Awesome!! She is one LUCKY girl!

Comiccon was a great time. We go every year and there is always so many new and familiar things there. This year the costumes people wore were great!

cant wait to see all the pics!

Will post pics soon!

Just caught up on your entire report thus far :rotfl: I was drawn in by the AMAZING pictures you have!! I really need to learn a thing or 2 about cameras, becuase our dinky digital camera takes crappy pics :lmao: and at nighttime, forget about it - its even worse!!

Hi Shannon! Thank you so much! It's great to have you on board. I actually have a Photography tutorial on my PTR. There is a link to it on the first post of the PTR. You may find it helpful. :)

Right?????? :confused3 He's the QB on my fantasy team, but I've seriously considered cutting him because of that foul Justin Bieber 'do.

Totally, I mean, I know Giselle is part of the whole fashionista crowd, but c'mon. He's a football player, not an italian model.

Wow, you DID have a busy weekend!

OOOhh I would LOVE to go to SDCC. It is always crazy crowded and sold out, I know. One day I will make it out there...in the meantime NYCC is good enough for me. I love the Final Fantasy series. And Kingdom Hearts 2 is one of my all-time favorite games. The first one was good too, but the 2nd one was just amazing.

Will have to catch up on the HSM movies at some point!

What a busy weekend! Looks like you had a lot of fun.

10-10-10...that would be a great wedding day. I should have tried to get dd to consider that day. (we are struggling right now with wedding plans)

I guess I am jealous. We did NOTHING but sit around this weekend...well, did a bit of work around the house. But that isnt any fun. :rotfl:

Yeah 10-10-10 was such a popular day! It was sooooo nice here in NYC too. It was the most perfect weather. How is Kira's wedding coming along?

I actually relish the days where I do nothing. It's so rare to have one right now. I just want to veg and stay at home. Hahaha.

How is Kira's wedding coming along?

sigh...it really isn't. We live in a pretty small town. It is near some major towns (by about an hour or so). It makes it hard to find a place that won't be too far from here. This part of the country is pretty rainy too. (although we are having gorgeous blue skies and sun now) The unpredictable weather makes it so it is too hard to plan something outside.

We will figure it out though...
