Christmas Wishes VS Happily Ever After?

Good Evening,

We are going from 11/11 till 11/16.

We are doing AK Sunday, Epcot Monday for the last day of F&W. Then I couldn't decide what to do after that. I haven't seen the new show at MK so I was thinking of doing that on Wednesday. But I also think my GF would love to see/do the Christmas Stuff at the Christmas party on Tuesday.

I plan on proposing to my GF while we are down there at MK as well.

So I am looking at getting some suggestions. Full day of MK on wednesday, or just the Christmas Party on Tuesday?

Also, what do you suggest for outside the park stuff on the off days? I have heard about resort hopping/monorail bar hopping, the boardwalk, and disney springs but just looking for some specific things.

This will be our second time going this year (back in february) so we are trying to expand more other than going to the parks from RD to Close

You really buried the lead right there! Planning to propose is exciting! The question is, are you planning your trip (somewhat) around this proposal? If so, then there's a few ways you can go with this, you can do what you think she'll like, you can do what you think would be romantic for a proposal. On the flip, if the proposal is just part of the trip, then you figure out together what sounds like fun and what you want to do and maybe you do it all. I haven't been during Christmas, and haven't seen HEA yet, so I can't speak to those, so other people can give you details.

As for off days. There's so much. It just comes down to what you guys like to do. What's fun? Are you foodies? Entertainment people? Shoppers? Want to hang by the pool? Relax at a spa?

We are definitely foodies + Entertainment people. We want to enjoy ourselves but also want to relax a little for the hustle and bustle of the parks for a day. My original thought is doing something like the Boardwalk, and maybe going to the different bars/resorts that you can do on the monorail + seeing any shows that we could, but its hard to find information on how to plan/go about this.

I would say, although I think it's an important part of the trip, I think the proposal is just part of the trip. I want it to be a healthy mixture of romantic, but also fun/quirky because that is us! My original plan was actually to ask her in front of the Hogwarts Castle at universal, but no one that I have asked could verify if there was a PhotoPass opportunity there (never been to universal).

The boardwalk can be a fun thing to do for entertainment & food. They have street performer type people & some REALLY good ice cream over there & a few restaurants. You can drink or eat around the monorail. My dad is OBSESSED with Trader Sam's. Disney Springs also has some entertainment and lots of restaurants. A big part of it is now shopping, I tend to avoid that section since a lot of the shops are at your local mall or other shopping area.

From what I can remember in February, there are not "photo pass" people around Universal the way they are at Disney. At Disney you have one every few steps and they are very noticeable. I remember the Universal photo people being with characters, but not just hanging in the street. My friends and I had people take photos for us since we were only at Universal for the day for Harry Potter Land.

That makes a lot of sense regarding the photo pass people, though I think its a missed opportunity by universal. I think we are going to avoid Disney Springs for the most part, we went last year and had a good time walking around, but there is only so much to look at, and only so much food you can have before getting bored, especially since we aren't big shoppers.

Also personally, I try not to over plan, but try and figure out what is available to do. I feel like if we don't know what is out there to do, we are more likely to completely miss it. Such as resort hopping and such. Plan just enough to know you have things to do each day, but not too much as to have a time line.
