Toontown on the evening of the 19th around 8 pm:

We walked right onto Barnstormer and waited maybe 5 minutes for Haunted Mansion.

Kona was not exactly a happening place between 5:30 and 6:00 pm on the 19th. All guests were seated in the small area close to Ohana.

Wednesday the 19th was an absolutely gorgeous day. It was plenty warm enough in the late afternoon for a dip in the...nearly empty smaller pool at Music. Tired from our long trip, the family opted for a swim before heading to the parks.

We were in the building on the right in your picture, SqueakyMouse! We were there from 12/20-12/26.

Here are some of my crowd pictures:

This is Italy on 12/22 around noon:

Dumbo had a very, very short line (less than 5 minutes), and everything else was a walk-on.

Acckkk! I can't remember what I've posted.

Here's MK after the very first Christmas Parade on the 22nd. This was the only time the park was busy this day.

Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas filled-up right before the show began. I think a lot of local people had come out on this first day to see all the special Christmas shows without paying for MVMCP.

The first Christmas Parade on the 25th was very crowded; but a huge number of people left right afterwards, leaving the park manageable.

Here's a good comparison of MK on December 24 this year. The first pic was taken in Fantasyland at 7:25 am during morning EMH (there was NO wait for Dumbo!). The second is taken at the same spot, same day, at 1 in the afternoon. The morning EMH is SO worth it this time of year!

Honestly, I didn't really have a problem with the crowds. I was there 12/22-12/28 and didn't have any major concerns. We did follow TGMs plan, going to the parks according to his least crowded park list. one morning we even woke up at 5:30 am to make the MK 7am opening. We made the openings of every park each day and rode most rides with little wait before 1PM. At that point, it got really crowded and we just left to nap at the hotel. We then went back to the parks around 6PM and rode less rides than the AM but still experienced not-so-bad crowds. maybe it was just me though, because some other people in the family thought the crowds were awful. i dont think i have been on one disney trip where we didnt visit during christmas week, spring break, july fourth, or some other time during the busy summer months, so i think im just used to it. so i guess my final advice would be to think what most normal guests would do (like go to MK on xmas day) and do the opposite of that. most importantly, GET UP EARLY!!! it is soo worth it. and of course, have fun :)
