What were the Crowds Like This Weekend Also , How Bad Have the crowds been . This week during the Christmas/Newyears Week ??

Capacity crowds. way too busy for me!

i ventured into all four parks today (don't ask) and took some pics. Here's some from MK:

There was an article in the Orlando Sentinel the other day that last year during Christmas week, the Magic Kingdom reached capacity crowds and had to be closed 3 times during the week between 12/25-12/31. They also mentioned that Epcot closed at least once during that week due to capacity crowds, which is amazing, given how big Epcot is!

The article went on to add that Disney was expecting even bigger crowds this year with more capacity crowds and park closings, with MK, Epcot and DHS all possibly closing to capacity.

Even with the crowds, you can still have a great trip during this period. I have been over New Year's several times and my daughters would prefer this time--parks sometimes open well past midnight (MK open on Dec 30 from 7AM - 4AM, and then on Dec 31 from 7AM - 1 AM, including EMHs)--then again they are night owls.

All in all, you can have a great trip if you go with the right expectations AND a plan!

My daughter is working at Epcot now in Future World and her ride was out of fast passes by early afternoon. She said it is very very busy. She is loving it though....she thinks its cool to see it so busy!

We are here right now...it is EXTREMELY crowded. But for us we get up early hit the parks until after lunch and then head back to the resort.

The only thing I did not enjoy was MVMCP...I found the crowds way too big for me and wouldn't do it again this late in December.
