We were able to extend our much needed vacation through Dec. 27. However, the kids still think we're coming home on the 20th. We're planning on surprising them. We will be staying at the Dolphin fom the 20th - 27th. I have never been away from home for Christmas, so I have mixed emotions about doing this. I want to make this really special and I need some advice. Does the Dolphin offer anything special on Christmas morning? Do they allow Christmas trees? As you can imagine with 6 kids, Christmas morning in our house is an exciting crazy time. How will we make it as exciting in DW? Come on all you veterans help out a first timer, please!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi!
I have not been on this site long, looked through others and found some info.
It seems some people take Christmas decorations with them!
We will be there Dec 21-24 and my DH said, "There is only so much room in the van!"
I guess we won't be taking our tree! LOL

Take some decorations! I plan on taking a few cookies for the kids to decorate, and Santa will visit us there. We then head on to Savannah to visit family. Where...hopefully, Santa will visit again!

Good luck...have a great time!

How about some strings of lights, either indoors or on the balcony if you have one? Don't forget extension cords.

Could be trip extension be a "gift from Santa"? Or from Mickey?

Have you checked into what the resort itself does on Chistmas Eve and Day? I'll bet they have some cool things to look forward to!

Have fun!

This is what we did last year. Take a small tree and the decorations. Have the kids decorate the tree. If you have a balcony, take icicle lights to decorate it. Take your stockings. Take other decorations. If possible, keep your gifts small because that will be the biggest transportation. Call and make reservations for Christmas dinner now! I suggest the Yachtsman Steakhouse! Definitely plan your parks that day. To me, Magic Kingdom is the place to be at some time on Christmas! Have fun!!
