I know there's a thread somewhere but I can't seem to find it. We're taking the kids at Christmas - 22nd-30th with a couple days at USH in the middle - and they're excited and all, but DH needs a nudge to get more fired up about going.

I've told him about the cool decorations throughout the parks (especially CarsLand), but is there anything else we should know about?

Is there a special WOC or was I imagining that?

Different parade - the kids REALLY want to see a parade or two - or is it alternating or just certain days?

What special things go on in the parks on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

Are they traditionally high volume days, or should we be okay?

Special dining options I should know about to book? We're going to have a breakfast at Storytellers and Minnie's on two different days, and I'm strongly considering the WOC Dessert event for one night. Is there like a 'Christmas Dinner' in the parks or is the menu unchanging from the rest of the year?

Traditionally the week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest week of the year with multiple gate closures. This will be the first year that no APs should still have the old premium AP that would have been blocked that week. It remains to be see how many tickets, signature plus APs and people renewing and buying new APs for Christmas will be there. I'd plan on it being extremely crowded.

We're planning around the same time you are! It's probably going to be busy, but I'm really excited about how magical it will be visiting that close to Christmas!

Last year, the Carthay Circle had a couple of special offerings for the holidays. Most likely any information about special Christmas Day dinners won't be announced until closer to the Holiday Season (probably about when reservations would come open - so late October or early November would be my guess).
