Ramen slaw is probably my green dish to take this year.
1 head of cabbage
3-5 oz. slivered almonds
2 packages Ramen noodles (1 chicken, 1 beef flavored)
1 bunch green onions
½ bottle sesame seeds
Brown seeds and almonds in skillet – stir frequently (they burn easily). Cool and store until ready to serve. Crush Ramen noodles with your hand (or a rolling pin – it’s easier). Store separately. Grate cabbage and chop onions; mix together.
Dressing
4 tbsp. Sugar
1 cup salad oil
1 tsp. Accent
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. Rice vinegar
flavor packs from Ramen noodles
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until sugar is dissolved. Store until ready to serve. Mix all ingredients (noodles, seeds/almonds, and cabbage/green onions) together right before serving. Toss with dressing.
