this thread was first when I tried to search for scoop on the zhu zhu princess castle.....DD saw the commercial this morning. is this thing going to be available in the US? i found it on ebay, UK sellers mostly, for INSANE amounts of money. anyone have any US availability info? i'm pretty much done with DD for Santa, but if I stumbled upon it, I might spring. but i'm not going to drive myself crazy over it. she's getting loads of zhu zhu stuff to add to the starter set she got this summer for her bday.....

I asked about this a few days ago and so far I haven't heard back from anyone about US availability. I saw the same as you--UK sellers and crazy prices. I think it might be released in December in the US, but so far no one has it available for pre-order that I've found.

ETA: I don't think it's a "hard to find toy" YET, but I wasn't even sure it had been released in the US yet

Oh, urggghhhh...I was just about done! Even went so far as to pat myself on the back, when it happened. DS's DS broke - he shows me with his poor eyes all pink from crying. At least he had the courtesy to time this with the Target DSi sale. So, I suppose I will purchase an upgraded DS and put back the Lego sets for his birthday.

Anyone happen to hear of a quick/easy fix for a cracked screen?? also looking for a bargain kids guitar - anyone see any BF deals?

Was about to get the Zhu Zhu castle set all 3 pieces at Wal-Mart today- in line to check out and a mgr came and took them out of the cart "they weren't supposed to be put out until Friday morning" - OOOK - she was taking them out of any cart she found- they said they wouldn't ring up . boo.

Hey guys.

Thought I would pop my head in and say hi and see how everyone is making out!

Things have been CRAZY for us.

As for what's hot, still is the usual suspects... Squinkies, Monster High Dolls... Lalaloopsy's..

But, if you haven't kept up, lalaloopsy has some new family members - mini's!

They are $5.99 at TRU and started trickling in ahead of schedule.

People are going BONKERS for them.

There have been some sightings of Santa Singamajigs in the wild as well.

Lots of stuff going on.

Is anyone here into Chuggington or Dinosaur Train? If so, we did some hands on.

Chuggington Loop (TRU exclusive) is AWESOME. My son went bonkers for it. He really loves it. The train whizzes through the loop too. It's actually a really well made toy too. The train track actually snapped in well and quickly and it was a cinch to put it together. Big thumbs up from me.

The other thing that we tried was the Dino Buddy.. That was cool. It teaches you all about dinosaurs. Good for the dinosaur train fan in the house.

The real deal however was the Dinosaur Train "InterAction" ones. They talk with one another! I wasn't expecitng it to work as well as it does, but, it really does work very well. If you have one, you play with it like you would any action figure... But, if you have two, then they actually interact with one another. One says one thing, the other responds directly to what was said! VERY cool. And they sing at the same time and more. Just an all 'round cool toy.

We also checked out the Prime-8. That's another good one, but, if you have seen the commercials on TV and wondered if it is for you... I would recommend it for kids ~8-11. 10ish being a sweet spot. It has a lot of features that would be lost on a younger kid, but, too old and they may get bored. 8-11 and it's all about exploring and playing. It's a bit $$$ but its on sale at TRU last time I looked.

And for the Nintendo DS repairs, yes, it can be done. Not totally for the faint of heart but it can certainly be done.

And, as an aside, Nintendo themselves actually have a pretty forgiving repair line. Worst case, you waste a few mins of your life on the phone assuming its not 5 years old or something.

Finally ordered the "special gifts". I wasn't sure what DD1 would be getting until I got an email about specials at Wal-Mart. DD1 is getting a Karaoke machine and DD2 is getting Go Go my walking pup! The karaoke machine was almost $30 cheaper at Walmart then on Amazon!

Heading over to Target tomorrow to get a few little things and also to Best Buy to get the new Santa Paws movie. I have a coupon from DMC so that will help.

Coming over to tell you abou this great deal(or so I think..lol) I got at Target last night on the Scrabble Flash/Scrabble Slam combo. They have it is on sale for 20 (normally 25) and then there is a 5.00 coupon in the Toy Coupon book for Hasbro. So I got it for 15(plus my 5% off for using the Target Debit card)


My daughter saw the HeadBandz commercial (and remembered it from I Carly) and asked for it. I picked it up at TRU for 4.00 it was 14 and I had a 10.00 GC.

So those were my super finds for the week!!

I am now on the lookout for WII games sale.
I need to Get Disney Sing It and 2 controllers for my Daughter's Bday party in December.

They were on my walmart shelf this morning, but when I got to the register they would not let me buy it. The manager told me it must have been recalled. Yeah, whatever. I'm not going to stress since I am done with DD, but I'll keep checking after this Friday!

Does anyone know anything about the Rescue Petz Train and Play Puppy? DS asked for one the other day, so I picked one up at TRU last night. I haven't seen any reviews for this toy, so I'm wondering if it is worth the $40 I paid for it. I'm also wondering if it will be cheaper between now and Christmas. I figure I can always take it back if a super deal comes out, but at least I have it. I'd love to hear more about this toy.

Well the eReaders I ordered for the girls came in today and they are awesome, I may have to get one for myself! I have finished DD6 & DD10 but still need to get a couple more items for DD11. Got paid today so looking forward to shopping Thursday night through Friday!

Was going for a Kindle but then heard about the Pandigital ... the white one can supposedly support Android 2.0 and I know he'd like that feature because he's played with the Droid phone and loved it...

I think we are done. I picked up Lagoona Blue and Draculaura as well as the journal and knee socks at Justice on Saturday. Totally not on the list, she totally DOES NOT need them but... she'll like them. Sigh. I also got another Frankie Stein, book, and journal for my "angel" Christmas kid's "toy" gift. She isn't a baby doll kind of girl and she's a good reader. I'm trying to read the book myself this week - they are good readers for their age but I don't want either girl to get a book that has TMI for them at this stage of life

Now I need another small gift for the boys as the plethora of MH dolls wasn't expensive per se but DOES look impressive. Legos, perhaps, lots of little Lego add on sets???

I did get GO GO my walking pup for DD. I got a good deal (I think). I got it at TRU and it was tagged $56.99, rang up $49.99 minus my 20% off 1 item coupon and my $3 off coupon..so I got it for $36.99

I also got the Monkey and Dog pillow pets the kids wanted and I got DS9 an Abercrombie pull over hoodie for $17.70 (40%off) and a Phineas and Ferb book from the Disney store.

My DS9 shouldn't be too hard. His list for this year:

Funny! He sounds like my DS(9). From the last scholastic book order he wanted a thesaurus and some software to design your own hotel. I got him the thesaurus.

I ended up getting the Nextbook from HSN. I have until January 31st if I need to return them no matter what. I have played around with them today and I love them and all the apps. plus they are in color. I know my girls will love them!
