I was surprised by this, so I thought I would mention it on this board. I made a dinner priority seating at Boma for Christmas day and was told that I had to leave my credit card number to hold it. I have until 48 hours prior to the dinner to cancel...if I do not do so in that period and do not show, I will be charged anyway. I definitely plan to be there for dinner...so this didn't bother me too much... but I thought this might be of interest to some people.

xmas eve, also. If it is a special dinner (fixed price), they will charge the full price. If a regular menu (like at lunchtime), they will charge $10 per person if you don't cancel within 48 hours.

Yep, this is true for all holidays, for all restaurants that req PS.

I just called for Whispering Canyon for Christmas Dinner and I also had to give a credit card. Since I'm new I wasn't sure what the policy was, so I'm glad it's standard procedure.

This is a policy they started last year. They found that too many guest made PS and didnt cancel or made several PSs and didnt cancel one.
Since they dont charge your cc unless you dont show up I dont mind.
