Christmas Presents

I WAS gonna get someone a ouija board, but on reflection thought it was a tad inappropriate. I mean, they may be freaked out by it, upset by it, anything really.
Sometimes when you post, it makes me feel so much more normal than I really am. I'm a weird dude but I don't think I'd ever buy a Ouija board for a present.

I am looking for a preserved ostrich brain for my wife though.

No way, no how am I ever buying one of those things for myself or anyone else. Even seeing it in the games section at a store kinda freaks me out. No thank you

I don’t think I would buy a Ouija Board or tarot cards for anyone who hadn’t specifically mentioned that they were interested in them, even though I have used both back in my late teens/early twenties.

That’s one of the reasons we still do Christmas lists, so if there is something unusual that we are interested in, we can suggest it as a gift. There are a lot of gifts I feel that way about. For example, I wouldn’t buy music or books for someone without knowing they were at least interested in the artist or author. I don’t buy clothes for someone unless they have been very specific, especially about the size. I don’t want someone to be inconvenienced by having to return what I give them.

Bad idea number two: a selection of scents by Lynx/Axe. But then I thought, doesn't that info that the recipient smells bad as it is? Ho hum.

Not necessarily. I would only buy a scented product for someone that I knew liked the scent and used it regularly. I used to buy my dad a particular line of scented shaving products because he liked the brand, but wouldn’t spend the money to buy it for himself.

If you bought bath or scent products out of the blue for someone who didn’t use a particular brand, then you are right - it might hurt their feelings. It’s all about who you are buying the gift for.
