Spring break this year for our boys coincides with Easter [it's the week before Easter Sunday] for the first time ever :( Since our annual trip to Disney will now be during a very crowded time, I'm trying to figure out which week is the most bearable. We've been in December before [never over Christmas break though] so seeing the decorations is not necessarily a factor. Are any of these choices better than the other [We have a long weekend PRes. Weekend but this wb the shortest trip of the three]. Pricing I see already is best on President's Weekend but it's a bummer that it'll be a much shorter trip than the other two. I was hoping for feedback on anyone who has experienced these times? Thanks in advance.

We have done Presidents Week and the week after Easter.

Both were about the same in terms of crowds (high).

The weather is better near Easter. February can be chilly. So that is a big plus for the time around Easter IMO.

If I had to pick, I would go with the week near Easter mainly because the crowds are high at both times, but I would go for the warmer weather.

Hope this helps!

That's a great point, hadn't considered the weather factor!!! Thanks!!

I would eliminate Christmas since you have seen the decorations before and the crowds are insane- even worse than the other weeks you are considering.

Since crowds will be around the same for Easter and Presidents weekend, if it was me, I would go when I had more days to visit. Then, maximize FP+, get to the parks early to enjoy lower crowds, and take midday breaks to swim, shop, and relax outside the parks when they are the most packed. Return in the evenings to take advantage of lower crowds and nice cool temps.

That's what I wondered and had thought actually about Christmas break. I think it'll be Easter week, maybe try to arrive on Friday night 3/18 and leave before Easter weekend!

Have a great time- I am jealous! We have an about-to-be-senior in high school, and paying for college is going to be scary. Vacations are pretty much out for the next 5 years.

Start saving NOW! And save as much as possible- more than you think you will need. Tuition costs just keep going up, up, up. It actually makes me a little sick to see how much 4 years of college will cost. With room and board, almost every private school we have looked at is $60k per year. Our public state universities are around $25k annually.

We will fill out the FAFSA for financial aid, but have no idea how much or even IF we qualify for anything. Luckily, our DD is a very good student and attends a very prestigious, academically rigorous boarding high school. She actually has a decent chance at some merit scholarship money, but we don't know if it will be enough to make her top choice schools affordable.
