Where would be a nice disney /Christmas background that we could get a family picture done. Thanks!

Unless it has been taken down or moved, there was a christmas "photo op" with snow and the gang in DTD. I didn't look for it last time we were there. It wowuld be great for Christmas pics. Good Luck.

adisneymama is correct! There is a GREAT christmas-y set up in DTD right near the Christmas store. DH and I had thought about taking a family picture near it for our Christmas cards this year, but we forgot :(

It is a cute little area.....

Are there CMs there that will take pics of the whole family using your camera? Sounds like a good opportunity for a family picture to send out with Christmas cards - as long as you have the whole family in it!

If there is a CM around, I'm sure they would. We have had other "guests" in the past ask us to take their pics and they in turn would take ours. I'm sure you would be able to find someone willing to do it for you.

Oh thanks for the advice Deb. You are the best. I was just about to ask this same question too.

Next to the christmas store at MK's Liberty Square there is a brick building facade that has christmas decorations and garlands on the staircase. It's very beautiful and perfect for a christmas background.

Since you're going in December, the christmas decors would be all over the place. You could get pictures taken in front of the christmas trees at the parks or resorts. Take a picture in front of the gingerbread house at GF.

We got a GREAT pic with Mr. and Mrs. Santa at Epcot's Amaerican Adventure. We paid for the photo and took a bunch of our own as well. I also loved a photo we took in front of the huge Christmas Tree at the Wilderness Lodge. DTD has some great places, we also got our pics. taken with the Dickens Carolers in DTD.

We will be gettin ours with them again this year too.
Cheers and Merry Christmas! :drinking:

We had a nice photo taken with Mr and Mrs Claus in Epcot, also Santa was at Downtown Disney but the photo there was very small (5x7 but most of it was Disney decoration, my kids were tiny in the middle).

Another optoin is in the photo shops in any of the parks, they have a blue screen studio, you can have a family photo taken in there and they can add any background that you like, they have some nice ones with the castle and characters.

Will the Christmas photo op scene at DTD be there on the week of Thanksgiving??? Like the 20th-26th

we went to the G.F last year to have pics taken inside, it is really beautiful in there, with a huge tree, and amazing life size gingerbread house. and it was free to hop the monorail over there, go inside do our thing and then leave.

have a great time,
Jill

As far as I know, that's a permanent fixture - so it should be there.

Here is a picture of my DD in October at the DTD display. She was just clowning around, but you could set it up for a great picture op. By the way, we never saw any CMs there but I'm sure someone would help you out and take a picture. Or you could take a tripod, if you have one.

We took two really neat photos and just had someone walking around take them. They turned out really nice. One was in DTD like others said. It is right by the area where you walk in from the buses. At the end of the Christmas store outside. It is neat to do and do it during the day. (just don't hit the water parks first...big mistake). The other one is in MGM where the snowman is close to The Muppets area. Sorry not any better directions. Both were neat ideas and looked good. Have fun. Good luck!! We were too cheap to have others taken at the time. :earsboy: :bride:

We walked around the Xmas store in DTD and snapped pictures of DD4 in front of every tree and fireplace. We even stuck her into one of the displays of stuffed animals! My guess is...don't make too much of a nuisance and they won't mind!
