I am going to magic kingdom on Sunday and just noticed that its a date for the Christmas party. I haven't been to Disney since I was a kid so I don't know how this works. I'm not interested in going to that party and bought just normal tickets, what time do I have to leave park and how does Disney go about getting people out? They website says it starts at 7 but there is a "Frozen Holiday Wish" that I would like to see at 6:15pm, but if that's not possible it's not a big deal.

Party ticket holders are given wristbands. Starting at around 6:30, announcements will be made over the loudspeaker that the MK is closing at 7:00 for the party. The announcements will come more frequently at 7:00 approaches, and CMs may remind anyone without a wristband that they need to leave the park at 7:00. Starting at 7:00, CMs will tell you to leave the park (or buy a party ticket) if you don't have a wristband, and you won't be allowed to enter any 'land," ride, attraction, character M&G, shop, etc. without showing your wristband. The later it gets past 7:00, the more likely a CM is to escort you out of the park if you don't have a party ticket.

That's the long way of saying...you'll be fine watching the 6:15 castle lighting (i.e., Frozen holiday wish) without a party ticket. You can stay in the park (and enter any line) right up until 7:00. To get the most from your day, plan to enter your last line right at 6:55.
