Christmas & My Happy Place Equals Perfection. - A Dec 2011 PTR

Cute skirt! love the material! how about using the star on the shirt?

Love the star skirt. You are so generous.

I know you will get all your sewing done. You must be getting so excited for your trip. What are you going to make for yourself????

I responded on the Disboutique but Planet Applique has a penguin with a scarf applique that is on sale today (not sure how long the sale will last).

thanks. I saw the penguin and for that price I am getting it.

I want to do a couple applique Tees

I might even do ruffle capris too.

I am so excited for my trip as is DD. DH will be once we get closer.

What about a rainbow applique???

Yes, I am curious too - what are you making for yourself for your trip?

D~

I replied on Disbout, but I thought either a star or a rainbow applique would work great on the shirt.

Love your new applique panels as well -- that is going to be one awesome outfit.

Me <---- who needs to get my auction item done by tomorrow! And who needs to decide if I should do a Dis applique or a generic Christmas one.

So yesterday C and I made a list of what needs to be done before our trip. Well it is a lot so I am back to making lists.

Today I must

Heat Press Shirts for a give (they are in a dryer)
Work on Auction Skirt
Big Give shirt
Invoices for store
Pack 2 orders for store

Have a great day and pray I get this stuff done

Loving it!

Okay Chiara - since you go to the parks way more often than I do - what are some things I need to take for Finn? He and J are about the same age, right? Finn turned 3 at the end of June.

Do you still take "backup outfits" as my DH calls them? Finn is SORTA potty trained, but I keep thinking that maybe having him wear pull-ups in the park might be good? :confused3

What are some things I could make or pick up to keep him entertained? What are things you have on your "must have" list for J??? HELP! Thank you much!!!! I LOVE  LOVE the pic of J with the cookie :)

I'm not Chiara, but we took my grand daughter when she was 2, then 3, and then this past few months when she was 4...potty training is never easy at Disney! We tried with pull ups...and found she did better with panties, simply because in her mind pull ups mean it is ok not to let us know in time to get to the potty!

For things to help keep her (and my DS special needs)occupied we found two items invaluable! An Ipod filled with their favorite Disney tunes and pipe cleaners. Both worked great to keep them occupied while waiting. (the pipe cleaners also helped keep the adults occupied while waiting for meals! We had contests to see who could make 'x' item first. Sometimes the wait staff got to be the judge!)

Good luck!

Nini

I wish I could help you out Marianne...

Both of the girls were potty trained before we went the first time.

And honestly, I don't remember bringing anything for them to do in line (it probably would have been nice - LOL).

Have you done pin trading with them yet??? I am not sure that kids that small get into that though???

D~

Okay Marianne. I like Nini's Ideas

I would not do Pull-ups I would actually bring Extra clothes in that case. That is what we did with DD. J is no where near potty trained (thankfully that is what we are working on after Christmas at school) We bring Js iPad for meal time and he actually does really well in lines for some reason. but I generally have a small toy for him.

Just remember I go through lines with my stroller and have a GAC.

When we took our girls when they little, the one day I forgot extra clothes was the day we needed them. I was lucky because DD was wearing a dress so we just went to the bathroom and washed her up. The dress had stayed dry and I did have an extra pair of undies buried at the bottom of my bag! I guess it would be harder with a boy. I didn't forget extra clothes after that though. I agree that DD always treated Pull Ups as a diaper. They never worked for us at all.

I did both pull ups and panties with Megan and always packed an extra outfit

she always had a new little stuffed minnie mouse that we'd buy at the resort to add to her collection...she still get's one!!, would carry it the whole day! also had a little set of the princesses we'd take out at meal times and coloring was always good too.

Just found your PTR today and caught up. You have made a lot of amazing outfits! Your kids are adorable too!! I have 4 weeks off work to heal up from my back surgery, so I should be able to keep up now.
