Christmas Magic: DH Finally Gets It!! Update: pg9 Last Day, Wrap up!

Oooh--a Poly photoshoot!! I've always wanted to do this! So you think it is worth it?! We're staying there in May so it would be very convenient for us! Can't wait to read more!! :goodvibes

Great update... I love the photos' of the fam. on the hammock.

I like those too. I'm making a photo collage of them :goodvibes

Your pics are great, the view from you room was great too!!!

Thanks. Hoping to post the real photoshoot pics soon.

I really did think the photoshoot was worth the money. We did the $100 package that includes getting all the photos on a disk. We also got to choose some prints to take home with us in the package. I figured it's at least $100 to get family pics at JC Penney's or an Olan Mills type place so why not pay that much to get family shots at WDW? I like how we can just print the pics we want and choose the sizes with the disk. He took about 80 photos in a 20min shoot.
Hopefully I"ll upload them and post them soon.

Here are some of my favorites from the photoshoot. It was well worth the $$ in my opinion.

Thanks for the info!! Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!! Definitely worth it!! WOW!!! :lovestruc

Another subber here!

Great updates! I love your photo session pics. I am thinking about gifting that to my MIL for Mother's Day. We will all be down there in December, and I think we could get some REALLY cute Christmas pics. I am just trying to decide if the ILs would be okay taking time out of the parks! :lmao:

I agree about the before-park-opening ADR! That's generally the best part of the trip for me. There's just nothing like walking down Main Street almost by yourselves!

Can't wait to read more!

Great Polynesian pics! Your absent-minded photographer did a great job even if he couldn't remember anyone's names!

That would be such a nice Mother's Day gift! A nice gift for you too!

That guy was too funny! I'm glad we actually got some good shots, let's just say my mother did a LOT of the work to get DS to smile and sit still!

OK, so this next part has no pics but I do have a valid reason! DH and I got to have a 'night out' thanks to my mom watching Brady and we were so excited to go out we didn't think to bring the camera!

The plan was dinner at The Wave and then maybe returning to the hot tub at the WL :thumbsup2 We took the boat from the WL->CR. We got there so fast we were actually early for our ADR! We had never been to the Wave before so we were excited for that in addition to being excited about a date night! We went to the bar after checking in and I ordered a habenero/mango margartia-> It was excellent! I only needed one  I can't recall what DH ordered. Probably a vodka/soda. The hostess came over just as we were ordered our drinks even though she told us it would be a few mins for our table. She left when we told her we were waiting for our drinks but came back 2mins later and proceeded to stand next to me. She was really hovering! We tried to pay as quickly as possible but I thought it was weird that she didn't give us a few mins.

We were seated in an almost empty restaurant. Our ADR was for 8:20 and it was probably about 8pm when we sat down. We had an excellent meal. DH got the fish of the day and I got the grilled beef tenderloin. We also ordered the lettuce wraps and paid OOP. Very good!! For dessert we got:
Crispy and Crunchy - Vanilla-braised Pineapple spears, Almond-pineapple-raisin "Baklava", or Zucchini-carrot cake with vanilla panna cotta.
Decadent Flavors - Blueberry compote with yogurt gelato, Lemon cornbread with vanilla panna cotta, or Chocolate mousse with salted caramel sauce.
We liked the panna cotta and the Baklava out of the crispy and crunchy and the blueberry compote and the panan cotta from the Decadent. I'm sorry but the Choc mousse was not good!!

After dinner we decided to walk around the CR gift shop for a bit. I pocked out many things I wanted but I actually don't think we bought anything. (little did I know DH bought me the pearl Mickey head necklace and gave it to me on Christamas!!)

We decided to go for a monorail ride to the MK and from there we took a boat back to the WL.

When we got back DS was asleep in Grammy's room so we did go out for a dip in the hot-tub. We used the one over by the WLV pool. We were the only ones there!
We had an excellent day at the World!!!

Your evening sounds WONDERFUL! I don't blame you for not taking a camera!! The food sounds yummy and the hot tub sounds fabulous! Glad you were able to have some time alone together!! :goodvibes

Today we were off to EPCOT! I didn't have plans to get there right at rope drop. We were going to the CP this evening and had the dining package set with dinner at the Garden Grill in the land. Dinner was at 4:15 and I knew we'd be there into the evening so it was better if we got to EPCOT later. Last year we kept DS out all day at EPCOT and had dinner in Italy. It was really hot and humid this day and we should've gone back for a nap and cool-down, but we pressed on and dinner was kind of a catastrophe. I was really trying to avoid that this year!
Brady is in LOVE with the EPCOT 'ball'! Out of all the pics we took last year looking at the 'ball' pics are his favorite! We have an indoor golf dome that looks like a giant bubble near our house. Brady calls that EPCOT everytime we drive by! So when we pulled up and he finally saw the 'ball' in person he was on :cloud9:.

We took the obligatory pics in front of the 'ball' and then we spotted characters with no lines!

cont on next post.

After getting to know Daisy and Stitch we decided to go into the "ball". This year I got to sit with Brady and my mom and DH sat with eachother. Thank goodness we didn't get stuck! I ALWAYS get stuck on this ride. Last year my friend and I got stuck for over 15mins in the backwards 'going back to earth' position! It was bad!

From here we went to Innoventions to see about the Disney Visa character photos. We were a little early so Grammy stayed in line and Brady and I got to go play!

Playing on the fire engine!

DH went to get FP for Soarin and by the time he came back we were ready to go in and see...

We love getting pictures here-I will say our interaction with Minnie and Goofy was better last year- but we still had a blast this year!

Brady fell asleep pretty much right after this and we were still in Innoventions. Grammy and DH did the interactive game where you create your own video game with you as the character! It was so funny watching them. We actually play the one of my mom at home. It's hysterical! If you ever have a few mins and nothing to do try this out!

With Brady still asleep in the stroller we were off to explore the WS. DH stopped in Mexico to get some food. After this I went off to Norway to get a school-bread. Yummy!

Brady must've woken up somewhere along the way cause I have these pics!

Sure enough it was time to head to the Land for our dinner ADR!!!

CUTE!! You got to meet several characters this day!! How fun!! Brady looks like he is in heaven!! :littleangel:

Awww, those character pictures are adorable! :goodvibes

Great pictures from the Poly too.

Wow. Those Poly. Photoshoot photos' are absolutely beautiful. They turned out great.

I love seeing the photos of the lil one interacting with Daisy. she's my fav.

I can't wait to read more, especially if it involves FOOD! :lmao:

I just found your link when you posted on my tr. I enjoyed reading. I'm glad you liked the wave. We ate there too. What a nice ending to the night to be able to sit in the hot tub alone. I am very jealous. I can't wait to read more.

I love this picture! Brady looks like he is having so much fun. :)

HI! Becky (ladybugmom) told me about your TR! I am all caught up. We are planning a Christmas trip in 2010, so I look forward to seeing how it was for you. LOVE the Poly pics. Your shirt is super cute. We just got back from a trip to the WL!!! It was sooo amazing. I love the resort. Looking forward to more :goodvibes

You're date night with DH sounds wonderful! It's amazing what that alone time can do for you. I am a SAHM, and as much as I love that job, it certainly makes me appreciate "grown-up" time!

How cool that you got to meet Daisy! I've heard that she's very rarely seen, and that's one of the reasons why I like the Tusker House b'fast: guaranteed Daisy time! :cutie:

That video game sounds cool! Is is free? And you get to take it home and play it?
