Christmas Magic: DH Finally Gets It!! Update: pg9 Last Day, Wrap up!

We finally made it up Main St USA and found DH waiting patiently for us! They did still have our ADR available and, in fact, could seat us right away! WOO HOO! We would still be able to play and eat with Pooh and friends!
First I had to take this:

so I could compare it to this from Sept 2008

As we walked into the CP Brady immediately saw Pooh who was just walking by and started to have a meltdown cause he thought that was his only chance to see Pooh. He was seriously crying for "pooh, pooh" and wouldn't eat till Pooh came back! Thank goodness this was a 'free' meal for him cause he didn't really eat that much. Drank tons of OJ though! We ate and saw the usual characters. We love breakfast here and it's become a bit of a tradition now. The standouts were the vegetable fritata and the cheesy potatoes!

Finally with breakfast done, only 40 mins later than I'd planned, we were off to ride some rides!

Glad y'all made it to CP - that is our favorite breakfast place with character. We always have to eat there at least once... And I understand having an empty main street in pictures, there is something magical about being in the park before the general public.

WOW!! The view from your room is AMAZING!!! I love getting to enter MK early and get those fabulous pics of the castle with no one in them!! And CP is a favorite of ours!! We ate there for dinner on our last trip! One of the yummiest buffets by far!!

I just love when you enter the park early and you can take your time and see and hear everything going on around you! It's a must-do for us!

We've never tried CP for dinner but I'll check it out. We were very impressed with our view. The walk was a bit long to get over to our room but it was never a problem.

Ok, so I am not one of those people that plans every ride down to the minute. I plan parks and I have a general plan of action but if we see a short line or somebody wants to do something out of the box, we GO for it!

After finishing CP breakfast later than I'd planned the park was already booming at about 9:40. We went to check out the Dumbo line first to see if it was very long yet. We stopped and got FP for Pooh on the way. Grammy went ahead with Brady as I parked the stroller. When I finally got to the line it didn't look too long. They were already half-way through! DH stayed behind to video and I decided to ride alone in the elephant in front of Brady and Grammy so I could get some good pics Brady decided he wanted a 'blue' Dumbo and we were right in front of the gates so I figured he had a good shot of getting the color he wanted. Soon enough we were flying high on our Dumbos!

Brady LOVES the caroussel so that was next!

It still wasn't time for Pooh yet so we did something that we'd been waiting 8 months for. In March when we were in WDW the 1st CM at the outside of the line for Barnstormer let us in and told us Brady was tall enough. When we got to the top of the line another CM checked him again and said he was too short! Did he shrink in 5 mins?? We weren't too upset and thank goodness Brady didn't understand so he was ok with it. Well this year we were SURE he was big enough so off we went to the Barnstormer.

Unfortunatly I don't have any pics. I video'd it and it turned out soo cute! Let's just say--Brady LOVED it!! He was smiling and laughing for the whole 40 seconds!

We have been trying to stay at the WL for 4 years and something's always come up to change the plans. We were very excited to finally be there!

Hey Tammy, I was wondering about the photos. Can't wait for them. I just got my pics printed from my camera. Been having fun looking at those! When are you headed back? I'm working on maybe a Universal trip for DH's b-day in May. We'll have to see about that.

He loved Barnstormer! We were going to try and see if he was tall enough for BTM but it shut down when we went to get in line. Can't wait to go back and try that one!

For some reason, I wasn't getting email notices that you were updating. Gosh, I was behind. I think the one pic that stands out in my mind is the one of Brady on Dumbo. The little guy was sooooo happy!

When I last updated we had just gotten off Goofy's Barnstormer. It was a great ride! (albeit the shortest ride I've ever been on!)
We followed up with the rest of what we wanted to do in Fantasyland. We used our FP for Pooh, went on the teacups, and I think we did It's a Small World. Brady started getting tired and we decided to head over for a ride on Buzz Lightyear before he fell asleep. I ventured off to get FP for SM as it had just reopened in the last week or so from the refurb. When I got over there the line for SM was only 10mins so I didn't bother with the FP. I grabbed Grammy and DH stayed with a sleepy Brady.
We were quickly on SM and honestly, I don't really notice a difference all that much. It's a little darker but the cars are still so small. I kinda miss the cheesy spacemen on the way out! I have been on the one at DL and that is so very cool. I guess I was expecting the SM at WDW would be more like that. Oh well, still a good ride!
When Grammy and I were done I went on again with DH using the parent-swap. The line had gotten a bit longer so this was useful!
Brady was napping and it was getting to be lunchtime so we decided to leave the MK and head back to the WL. We stopped at Main St Bakery so Grammy could pick up a yummy CS meal to go. She got the caprese sand and some choc cake (very yummy!) and DH got a banana bread pudding as a snack credit.

Upon getting back to the WL, I stopped and got luch for DH, Brady and I while DH got ready for the pool. We had lunch and Brady was able to go swimming for just a bit. We had plans for a photo-shoot at the Poly at 4:15! I was sooo excited for this!

We made it over to the Poly and arrived on time (for once!) It was a gorgeous night. Warm and not too sunny! Perfect weather to be walking around the Poly! Our photographer started in the Lobby and then we moved out front. He took pics under the monorail area and then over by the pool. We ended up on the beach. These were the pictures I really wanted! When DH and I got married at the Swan it started raining about 15 mins before our ceremony. It was a constant rain for the whole night! We didn't get any outside pictures. It's the one thing I've always felt bad about. So these pictures with my family on the Poly beach were important to me. It felt like getting my wedding day back!
Our photographer made us laugh and not with him if you catch my drift. He kept calling DS "Bradley" or "Bradsley" or "Brody" and never once got his name right! What made it funnier was my mom kept saying Brady's name over and over trying to get his attention but it never clicked into the photog's brain I guess. He was saying all these weird things and generally wasn't very personable. He didn't even ask our names at all, just kept calling us 'mom' and 'dad'. Now, we only hired him for 20mins so I didn't really care (and the pics came out well!) but if he was my wedding/event photog I would've not been happy.
So I don't have my pics handy from the Photoshoot but I will post them later. Here's some shots of us on the poly beach we took ourselves!
