Christmas lights at our Treehouse

If I want to hang Christmas lights outside, up our railing, while we are there, can anyone tell me if there is an outside outlet?

Is SSR going to have a problem with this?

Birdsofprey Dave did an awesome trip report for THV and he took pics of the outlet on the porch and also gave a rough measurement of the railings.

We plan on decorating out Holiday Treehouse too!!!

As long as you use decorations that don't cause damage or hazard I don't think there will be issue. Many families decorate for the Holidays.

This will be our 7th year!

I mentioned on another thread that the D23 magazine even had mention of DVC members and campers brightening up the holidays with lights on their balconies and at the campground!

We stayed in the THV in June, however I can't remember the outlet situation, sorry.

I'm posting on a selfish note... Pretty please, all of you decorating your treehouses for Christmas post pictures when you get back!!! While we were there we were saying how incredibly fun it would be to stay there for Christmas and decorate. It is truly like your own little home in a neighborhood there.

So I found BirdsofPreyDave's post with the "measurements" and photos. I had read that but had forgotten about the info so thanks for the OP who mentioned it.

I went to Kmart today because all of their brand of LEDs are on sale. I got one strand of 50 to go down the right side of the railing to the plug and another strand of 200 to go around the hexagon around the door and down the left side of the railing. I also am going to take a extra strand or two just in case.

And I promise to post pics either while we are there or when we get home.
