HI,
THIS IS OUR FAMILY FIRST TRIP TO WALT DISNEY WORLD...WE ARE STAYING AT THE ALL STAR SPORTS RESORT FOR THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS...CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME IDEA'S TO WHAT GOES ON FOR CHRISTMAS DAY????
THANKS:D

The parks are decorated to the nines for holidays and will be special Christmas Shows look on guide map for locations and times.Has the morning goes on crowds will build to elbow to elbow so arrive early and do big attractions early.Have a plan in place what you don't want to miss and what you're willing to skip because of huge crowds.Have a great vacation.:earsboy:  :earsgirl: :teeth:

I've been there just prior to Christmas. You should pick where you want to eat Christmas day and make your PS as soon as you are able. 2 years ago, WL was advertising a special meal on Christmas Day. I'm sure many restaurants with table service also have a special menu as will restaurants in the parks. If you don't want to plan a sit down meal that day you can eat at some of the fast food spots.

HI,
DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN LOOK FOR THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL MENU'S???I WOULD LIKE A SIT DOWN CHRISTMAS DINNER, MY BOYS ARE 12 AND 5, SOME WHAT PICKY BUT THEY ENJOY THEIR TURKEY DINNERS FOR THE HOLIDAYS...DO YOU THINK NOW IS TO EARLY TO MAKE PRIORITY SEATING????
THANKS

Make sure when you make your PS that you decide where you want to be that day. MK usually gets to capacity around early afternoon and will not admit anyone(even WDW resort guests) if this happens regardless if you have PS or not. Don't plan on park hopping that day. Either go to a park and stay, or go to a park for a while then eat at a resort. We ate at LTT in MK when we were there for x-mas day 1996. Turkey dinner and colonial characters..very fun.

To find menus from almost every restaurant at WDW check out http://www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm

I too travel with a picky eater. The menus helped us a lot last year. I made a page with "safe meal" restaurants by there location in the parks. It saved us a lot of time in make the decision as to where we could find a meal that wouldn't be whined about. Mickey

From what I understand, Christmas Day and Eve dinners are similar to Thanksgiving dinners- in that they are Fixed price, limited menu (Think Turkey) at alot of the resort restaurants . You can make PS 90 days out from Christmas- so yes, it's too early. I imagine that the actual menus for Christmas won't come out until after the PS have become available (and are mostly booked), so you might have to pick "blind". (It's sort of like the Candlelight processional- ressies are made LONG before the list of narrators are announced). I'll be there that week too! Jill
