We will be staying at the POP from 12/21-12/27. It will be our first time away from home at Christmas. Any ideas on how to celebrate Christmas in the World? Our kids are 7 & 8 and they still believe in Santa. We are driving, so I can pack a mini tree and some presents to surprise them Christmas morning.

I'm wanting to hear what others have done to make the day special for the kids.

Also, what park do you visit on Christmas Day? We have dinner reservations at Spoodles so we'll be around Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Thanks!

Consider doing a dinner package for the Candlelight Processional -- a very beautiful show, that would be perfect on Christmas Eve or Christmas.

Also, make sure to catch the Oborne Lights at DHS.

I think it will be very crowded on Christmas Day, but Epcot handles crowds very well.

Happy planning!

We spent Dec. 20-26, 2007 in WDW. One thing we enjoyed was taking a sleigh ride at the Wilderness Lodge after eating at WCC one evening. Next year, we hope to try the sleigh ride at Ft. Wilderness.

Definitelty get to the Candlelight Processional when you are down there. My suggestion is to stay away for MK on Christmas. They usually have to close it down early. Lots of people want to be there for the Christmas Parade. It's crazy. We've gone to Epcot the two times we were in WDW on Christmas day. It was wonderful. Enjoy it. It's the most beautiful place on earth during the holidays!

Thanks for the info. From everything I'd read, it sounded like MK was the park to avoid on Christmas Day. :santa:

We were @Disney December 17-29 2007.
We brought a small (4') tree for our room, stockings, decorated our windows and doors, brought cookies and presents from home. We booked the Candlelight Processional Package @The Biergarten Christmas Eve. We spent a leisurely Christmas morning opening our presents in our rooms. We didn't leave POP until mid-afternoon to tour the monorail resorts to see their decorations. Our last stop was Wilderness Lodge where we enjoyed Christmas dinner @Artist's Point. Knowing how crowded the parks are at this time of year we had no intention of attempting to go to a park on Christmas...but after dinner (@8pm) my DB and DSIL decided to go to MK and said it was very pleasant, not very crowded.

Thanks for the info and pictures Kristineamb! Sounds like if we are to venture out to the parks on Christmas Day, it's best to do it later in the evening.
