First of all please do not post request . ( I know how you ladies can get carried away ). Right now I am considering hosting my first swap and I wanted to get a feel for how many people might be interested. If there is an interest I will post details mid October ( after the 2nd round of SS has begun ) and begin sighn-ups . I am leaning towards a December 1st deadline for swaps due . No other details have been ironed out yet . I do have a few questions though :

1) Are you interested ?
2) Has this been done before and if so what were the categories ( ex. strictly Christmas or just winter/holiday ) ?
3) Does a December 1st deadline give everyone plenty of space between Thanksgiving and Christmas and all of the stuff associated with the hustle and bustle of December ?

If there is a interest I will get back to you with further details .

Thanks ,
Cyndi ( AKANickidahling/AKADisneyqueen )

I am definitely interested. I loved the spring swap I joined and am doing the fall one too. I think if you started it as soon as the fall swap is over, everyone would have time to do there stuff now and not have to wait until the holidays started. Thanksgiving is late this year. Nov. 27 I think. So if we all had time to start now, we woud be done way before Dec. came around. Just my thoughts.

LOL Cyndi!!! I was just thinking of hosting the Christmas swap. That's too funny!! You know...great minds think alike. hehehe;)
Anyway...Count me in!!! Christmas is my favorite holiday. I always have a ton of pictures. My vote is for a Christmas/Winter Swap. Just a side note...If you don't want to tackle both your first time out. We could team up...you take one and I'll host the other. Just let me know...
December 1st works great for me. That way it's all done before the holiday's begin.

So, add me to your list. I'll be watching for signup/details. Can't wait...:bounce: Let me know it you want to team tag this event.;)

I'd be interested in a winter/holiday swap. But if it's a "strictly Christmas" swap I won't participate since I don't celebrate Christmas. Besides, there are lots of other holidays in the winter, not just Christmas. (New Years, Hanukkah, Valentine's Day, Kwanzaa, Groundhog Day, etc.)

RRBB - That it why I thought a holiday/winter theme would be good.
WendyZ- I will let you know about sharing , I may try to tackle them both ( mostly because they will keep my mind off of my problems right now ). But I will definetely keep you in mind.
WDWMom - I will keep those dates in mind , and will let you all know something soon.

Thanks for the support , I am looking forward to this .

Cyndi

count me in as well. I think I have all of them now, might as well have winter too eh? :D
I know when I hosted the spring/holiday one, I started with st. patrick's day as the first "spring" holiday and went though mother's day.
Dec 1st seems like a good deadline to me. :D maggie

PS: you can always do a search and pull up the other swaps to see what the "rules" were....:D

YOu must have read my mind! I have been thinking about the winter swap too!
I even know what I want to do! LOL I won't post now!
So count me in

I was also thinking about a winter swap... I was in the character swap and really wished I would have joined the fall swap (maybe next year!) and I really enjoyed doing it, since that was my first one. December 1st seems perfect for me, before the christmas rush!! I think it would be better to do a winter/holiday swap, so everyone could be included!

Can't wait to get started! Amy

I think I'll have to pass this time around - there seems to be to much on my plate as it is right now so, I don't want to add more.

But, who knows I could change my mind by the time sign ups come around.

I wish I could sit this one out but I just can't. I have to play! I love it! Thanks so much for hosting!

I also would like to do this, so count me in. I've had alot of fun doing the past couple of swaps and look forward to doing this one also.

I'm interested...never done a swap before...around the holidays there is lots of scrapping to be done!!!

I've read and re-read this post and I am cluelss. Please explain to me what this is and how it works because it sounds like fun!

Thanks - DianeDisney

Date is fine
I prefer winter and holiday!
Our swaps here have gotten HUGE and you only need sooo much christmas specic stuff!

Just my opinion!
whatever you do I'm in!
:)

Count me in for Snow/Winter theming:D

Could someone who's relatively new to scrapbooking and to swaps ask a question, please?

I noticed on the linked "fall/holiday" thread that the borders are 11". How do people whose pages are 12 x 12" use those? I was thinking about joining the winter/holiday swap, and I'm just trying to learn.

Pat

83 days and counting . . . again!

I'm going to take a stab at this. Some people don't always have a true 12x12 paper so if you use a 11" boarder in case. I know that has happen to me alot. I'm doing a album of my great neices and have to trim alot of my pages to fit into my album.
