My husband gave us the crusie for our 40th Birthday !!! We are so ready to go !!
We are spending a few days afterwards at Disneyland, can you give me an idea about the weather since we are coming from the East Coast ?

Kendra

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! We just booked this awecome Holiday cruise and I am anxious to meet others coming with us. This is going to be our first DCL cruise and I am thrilled to have the Wonder on the West Coast again! Sailing during Christmas will make this extra special!

2 years to count down -- this is going to be a REALLY long wait. :cheer2:

Anyone else coming? I hope do a meet and greet and maybe have an ornament exchange!?!

Katherine in San Diego

I am so jealous of all you guys going to the park :worship:

Finishing up report cards, 8 days of parent conferences, 3 nights at the Grand Californian with 4 days in the parks over Veteran's Day weekend, Thanksgiving (at my mother-in-laws, so relatively stress free for me,) stuff FE bags, pack, find a dog sitter, arrange for Santa to put a few things under our tree for when we return...I'm sure there's more, but who cares!! Seven weeks from today we'll be in our cabin on the Wonder at this time!! Woo Hoo!!!

We were given our trip as a gift also. A very dear friend of ours thought we needed to have a fabulous holiday because I have been ill for the last 2 years or so and my boys have had a pretty rough time. That and they have been super helpful to me. We are so grateful for having such a great friend. We call him our fairy godfather lol.

The weather in December isn't like the east coast at all. Post 272 has some links to weather history for all of the ports. Here is a link to that post: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=42787980&highlight=weather#post42787980

Double Trouble was kind enough to share it with us.

38 DAYS UNTIL WE SAIL

Started my mental list but it is becoming overwhelming. We are an East Coast family and we will probably have snow when we leave. Guess, I can pack up the shorts soon.

Ditto here! I gotta get in gear so the sooner a deadline hits me, the better! Katherine

We are first time cruisers too ! Have two girls 12 and 14. How about you guys ?

Hope there is a meet in greet...I love meeting new people from all over as we have done in past trips abroad..Being first cruise I was hoping to meet more..

Hi All...have five parent conferences to go, then I'm hopping a plane to Disneyland. Unfortunately the weather calls for rain this weekend, and I was looking forward to the log ride because it was closed last spring when i was there...Don't know if I'll feel like getting wet if it's cold out.

Can someone tell me if we're assigned a day for the FE, or do we just do it on any day we like? I'm glad we're planning on a meet and greet the first day, as I am hoping to upgrade, and that would mean a different room. I called the cruise line 2 days ago and was told that the GTYs won't get their assignments until a week before sailing.

Off to the happiest place on earth!

Am I understanding the FE right ? We just give out one gift for the week ?

It is up to you but yes a gift from each person. A gift could consist of more then one thing but whatever works. :thumbsup2

I think it is best to just leave it up to each person. In the past assigning certain days has caused stress on people. Everyone has different interests so some days on the cruise will be busier then others for certain people. My vote is deliver when you want to.

We never make it to the meets on the first day. We are always too busy unpacking, organizing, swiming, etc... Usually someone offers to have a white board on their door to list changes...any takers??? We are all the way aft so not sure people would want our door. Midship usually works best.

Weather in Orange County in December can vary from the low 60s (light jacket weather) to the high 80s during our dry, desert wind (Santa Ana) weather. Definitely warmer than the East Coast. :) Maybe about a week before the cruise, we can look at the weather again and get more info. :)

We are in the low 70s this week! Katherine

Hi everyone, I just booked this cruise for myself and my daughter and son this morning! SO excited. It will be me, DD15 and DS9 and we are from Boise, ID. I just can't believe they won't be missing any school....

Hi Stephanie! Looking forward to cruising with you again. :)

Alright! Another mom crazy about dressing her girls! I need to get on the ball!!! Do you sew? I wish I did, I have to do a lot of recruiting to get my designs sewn. For the Tea, was this different than the Tea w/ Alice? And Until We meet Again, last time we were on the Magic it was in the Atrium. Was this the last night in Studio Sea? Thanks.

I do not sew! I wish I did too!!!

Tea is totally different. It is Ariel and Tiana, no kids picked for parts. It actually was better on the Panama Canal but they have scaled it back.

Until We Meet Again is still in the Atrium like on the Magic.

Yes I am a bit of a nut with my girls and their dresses! They LOVE dressing up and changing many times in a day! I love it!

Those girls sure looked like they were having a miserable time the whole week! Nothing but frowns all around. :rotfl2:

Adorable pix, Brooklyn!!!

Us too, it is now getting hard to wait.
Oma has started packing. no excitement in our house :rotfl:;):rotfl:
