Christmas Help Please

OK I know that we are crazy but............................ my DH and I were talking last night about going to WDW for Christmas week. We usuall stay on property but are looking for other alternatives. We are DVC members but there is no availability at all so we do not know where to stay.

To make matters more complicated we do notknow who is going with us so we souldlike suggestions for 4 up to 8 people . If we have 8 it would include my elderly grandparents

Most timeshares have been sold out for this period for quite some time. You're not going to find any bargains for that time of year in nice places. Better start checking the major hotel chains and hope for a rate you can live with (it won't be cheap).

Most likely, there are vacancies on I-Drive, around $75 to $125. Try to check how many will fit on the room.

The beautiful 6 bedroom pool home we are renting in January just had a cancellation for all of December. It's an unbelievable bargain and very close to WDW. I suggest you check it out: http://www.sjsvillas.com

I would also send out a general inquiry on one of the villa sites like orlandovillas.com This way you can get a feel for what might be available and what price you're looking at. You might actually be able to get a great 5-6 bedroom home for much less than a budget hotel if you split the costs.

Have you checked eBay? Do a search for "Christmas Disney" and "Christmas Orlando" and "Christmas Florida". You'll find a few available. Also, somone on www.tugbbs.com just listed a 2BR Marriott timeshare in the "Last Minute Rental" board.
