I need ideas for my girls (soon to be 6 and 7 1/2). Neither one has a specific interest so I am hoping there are some gifts out there that most girls in this age range like. I will definitely get lots of craft stuff, but other than that, I justs don't know. HELP :)

My 7 year old has asked for:
silly slippeez
dream light
Dear Dumb Diary books
Little People Disney Princess stuff
American Girl doll McKenna stuff
Kids Bop 22 cd
Super Mario 2 for her DS
Kindle Fire

She seems to be all over the spectrum with some little kid stuff and then some big kid stuff.

My girls are 7 and 4.5.
the are both getting a disney animator doll again. They play with these as much as there aG. Honestly they are each getting 10- 12 things and it adds up quick.
Merida doll
Tanlged doll
Barbies
Barbie dream house for younger dd
Build a bear with clothing
Furbys
Dreamlites
Duplos
Lego friends riding camp set for older dd
Lego Friends stable and vet

I have an 8 year old and she wants:

American Girl McKenna and some clothes
Novi Stars doll
Monster High dolls
The new Tinker Bell DVD coming out next week, can't remember the name, something to do with winter
Pink cheetah slippers
Merida doll
Littlest Pet Shop Fairies
Dolphin Tale DVD
Goddess Girls books
Little Miss Matched socks

Thank you, keep the ideas coming. They both did ask for the dream lites, but that is all so far. The older one never plays with dolls, she has one she sleeps w but doesn't play w others she has. The tinker bell movie will go on the list and maybe one of those girly lego sets, that is a good idea.

My 5 year old is getting:

Dream lite (the multi colored unicorn)
Pinypon hotel and 2 extra pinypon dolls (the Disney Channel has been advertising these; I had never heard of them but they are cute and very reasonably priced at TRU)
2 Disney princess doll sets (Cindy and Snow White, the ones that were $8 each at Target)
Disney baby cradle and baby Belle
Lego Friends Olivia's house
Guitar
Hello kitty watch
Tinkerbell art set
Earrings (she got her ears pierced in April and we haven't changed the original studs yet)

I am considering a Big Wheel but I think we are going to save that idea for her birthday in the spring.

Her grandmother is getting her the new Tink movie and has already purchased the gift set from TRU that has both a Tink doll and a Periwinkle doll. She is also getting her a piggy bank and a Laloopsy Littles doll. I'm not sure what her other grandmother is getting her.

Seems like a lot of dolls now that I look at it but she loves princesses and Tinkerbell so I think she will be pleased. The guitar, Olivia's house and the Pinypons are the items she is requesting specifically from Santa.

My DD6 hates dolls, too! She seems a little interested in American Girl, only because her friends are, but for me that is not a good enough reason to blow all that cash!

This year she is taking science for the first time and is fascinated, so I am going to go on MindWare and get a few science kits, too. She definitely loves art and crafts, so I'm getting some make-your-own jewelry. Other than that, she specifically asked for Nintendo DS3, so I got her that, and she will be getting Brave and Secret of the Wings, too. Also:

Rainbow in My Room
Sorry
Pictionary Jr.
Things for her hair

I also bought her something called Once A Pawn A Time, which is a first chess set, for her birthday, and I am surprised what a hit it has been. She is obsessed with it.

I am under specific instructions not to buy clothes. :)

My dd5 is getting:

Dreamlite
Stompeez
iPod touch
Harry (from One Direction) doll
Harry shirt, hair bow, and necklace
Monster High doll
Nightmare Before Christmas pjs
Daisy Girl Scout clothes and hair bow
One Direction and NOW 22 CD

My DD8 has asked for:

*Brave Movie
*Password journal
*clothes from Justice
*Mario games for her 3DS

I am also getting her:

*AG doll (she has the "target" version right now and plays with it some. I got an insane deal on the the REAL deal Kailey doll which is DD's name so I jumped on it)
*Books- boxcar children, babysitter's club, magic treehouse...
*North Face Oso jacket (from ebay)
*Webkinz cat

My girls are 6 1/2 and 2 1/2 and they are getting:

- American Girl just like me girl for the older
- AG Bitty Baby for the little
- baby clothes

They both have dreamlites and love them! SO that would be a hit. Also, the older is into board games, clothes and my husband got a tablet that she knows how to work better than I do. She also goes back and forth between more grown up things and dolls.

my DD7 has asked for:

Dreanlight and a Dollhouse, was going to buy her a Barbie house but for the price we are getting her a Kidkraft house they are better quality and her barbies fit she is getting a couple of cd/dvd and a paper jamz mic too :thumbsup2

My girls are 8.5 and 6. We are doing the "something you want", "something you need", something to wear" and "something to read".

The something to wear is a Christmas Day outfit from Gymboree. Long sleeve velour striped striped dresses and pale pink glitter tights. I'll make their bows ( thanks, Pintrest!) They already have shoes that will work. They will also get matching nightgowns to open on Christmas Eve.

Something to read--I'm thinking magazine subscriptions for each girl. We have a ton of books and make twice weekly trips to the library. Kindles would be nice, but not in the budget this year!

Something they need--each will get new socks and panties.

Something they want--DD6 has been begging to learn how to sew, so Alex Toys My First Sewing kit. DD8, probably Feather Fashions, a crafting lot to make feather inspired headbands, etc.

Any other suggestions? Those are from us,. . Santa will bring a few craft items and maybe a couple of board games.

my DD is 5 and 3 of my nieces are 7, 9 and 9. Here are things they want or are on the "possibilities" list

* airhunterz bow and arrow set
* calico critters
* puzzles
* water color paint books

* dress-up stuff
* barbie stuff
* Bitty Twins or AG stuff
* hexcrab or nanobug
* nightgowns
* art stuff
* make your own lip gloss kit
* potholder loom set
* sewing kit
* books -- Geronimo Stilton, Magic Treehouse, Sisters Grimm

* games -- Operation, Twister, Zingo

My DD is 8 - here are some things on her list...

American Girl Stuff
Books
Bean bag Chair
Just Dance 4 for Wii
Monster High Stuff
Craft Supplies

For those that are interested in Stompeez slippers, kohls has them for $21.99 and there is a 30% code making them $15.40. The code is harvest30

My girls just turned 7 and 5 and we working on lists today:

Stompeez
Cuddluppits
Merida costume (DD5)
iPod Touch - not this year
Nail Polish
Snoopy Sno Cone machine
Cookies and tootsie rolls :)

I get them an ornament each year based on whatever they are into that year. They get new pj's for Christmas Eve to match their cousins. I need more ideas from them to share with family/friends, too!

My girls are 5 & 7. Here's what we've got so far...

Disney Cruise from me & DH :)

From nonna & nonno (my parents) they are each getting a FurReal Friends Baby Buttercup Pony

I have a Dreamlite for each of them (ladybug) and an American Girl puppy that I grabbed at Costco a few weeks back.

DD7 will get some Legos (Friends set with horses maybe), and she wants Monopoly. DD5 I'd like to get a Doc McStuffins talking doll if they are ever back in stock. If not a regular doll & Lamby. I know it's more of a preschool show but she loves it when we catch it on tv.

They are asking for Bitty Babies, so we'll see if nana and papa (DH's parents) buy them or if my brother and his wife want to buy them. I'm sure they will get a DS game (DD7) and LeapPad games (DD5) and books.

Keep the great ideas coming! I'd like to be done shopping by Thanksgiving!

Do yourself a favor and don't buy the Snoopy sno cone machine!!! I had one when I was a kid and it was awful, but my 6 year old niece and 3 year old nephew have one...I babysat them for a day about a month ago and I wanted to be the cool aunt so I told them we could make sno cones...

First off, no child will be able to operate it by themselves. Second, even as an adult, it is VERY difficult to grind. The little handle kept popping off, it took so long to even grind a teaspoon of shaved ice. It is literally like taking a cheese grater and rubbing ice on it. You finally get it going and hear it grinding a lot, but when you scoop it into the bowl, you realize you've only ground a tablespoon! You will get hot and sweaty trying to turn the handle. LOL! They haven't improved on the design at all since the 80s!
