Christmas Ears

Do the Christmas Minnie ears usually sell out? We are going to Disney World in the beginning of December and I was planning on buying them when we get there. I keep hearing that they sell out though and was wondering if anyone knows if that is usually closer to Christmas. Thanks!

It's hard to say if any specific items will sell out by a specific point in time. My generally feeling is that Christmas merchandise will be available through mid-December, but popular items can sell out much earlier. Personally, if it is something you really want and would be very disappointed if they did not have it anymore, I would get it now opposed to waiting another month.

A couple years ago, I was there the 3rd week in dec, like the 15th, and couldn't find the green ears with the red bow anywhere. I got them last year, we went on the 7th, but they were getting low. I had tried earlier at the online store but they had sold out. Don't remember about the red ones with the green bow. I got the purple ones finally this year, online store, they sold out but came back and I grabbed them with the parkfree no shipping weekend! Try there so you be sure to have some maybe! Go

I just bought them from the Disney Store online and will pack them. I didn't want to have to stand in line to buy them or take the chance that they will sell out.

But I am really hoping the green ones with red bow fit my 4 year old daughter, because it didn't actually say whether they were adult or kid size. I wonder if they don't fit if I can exchange them in the park?

I thought they only came in one size. Mine fit me, an adult, but I suppose it depends how big or small, I guess, your daughter's head is. I mean for me, it fits fine, but I wouldn't mind if it was a tiny bit less snug, it starts making me a bit annoyed after a few hours, lol, but I keep wearing it!

me too. I looked the whole time last year for the green ears and could not find them anywhere. i am buying mine online this week.

Our first year, my sister and I had our hearts set on the Mickey Ear Santa hats. We arrived on December 24th and saw them in the gift store. We figured we would come back and buy them... and then they were gone. We checked at the hat store in Town Square in Magic Kingdom. No luck.

I think you'll be okay in early December, but if you could find it online, I'd say "buy it!"

In 2010, mid-December, I was on a massive quest looking for the red ears with green bow. Toward the end of the trip I finally found one. I would definitely buy them in advance. It's also been a long time since I've seen the red ears for sale...only green

I was wondering if they fit kids too. I tired on a different pair at home and they seemed to fit my 4 year old but she wasn't very into wearing them. I think I will order mine just incase. I wish they had free shipping right now though.

Ours came today. The Green Ears with the Red Bow, which isn't marked child or adult, fit my 4 and 1/2 year old. I will bring a few bobby pins just in case, but she says they are fine.

Others:
1) The Chip and Dale child ones are not as red as they appear on the site...more a dull orange. But DS is still thrilled.
2) The Santa hats with mouse ears for adult are very good quality. Even DH commented on it and he rarely pays attention to things like that. And there's even a velcro strap inside to adjust for size.

I was just there two weekends ago and they were EVERYWHERE. I have always loved the halloween ears and when I was there two years ago they ran out. This year they had tons and tons and the parties were sold out, so I would say you will be fine! Its always better to be safe than sorry though!

NOT TRUE...we were there last Dec 5-14 and they were sold out! Completely. I might not have looked for them until closer to the 9th, but went to MK big store, and they confirmed they were out at DTD store and around as well. These were specifically the red and green minnie ears. They had plenty of the Mickey Santa hats and black/red Minnie, which is what I ended up sadly purchasing.
