Christmas dinner ideas

Hello,
My husband would like something other than ham for Christmas dinner. Any suggestions or cool recipies. I'd like it to be easy to do, like a ham just throw in the crockpot with pineapples and brown sugar and let cook all day. Suggestions for side dishes would be greatly appreciated also!
